I voted no. Although Kill Bill is a pretty good movie, it isn't one of my favorite Quentin Tarantino movies and I didn't really like Vol 2... Sure it has some cool bits but overall it lacks the pace set by Vol 1.

Besides that, there are other HT licenses that definitely have priority :)

I'd definitely get be down for it, not sure if I'd want HT to do it though due to (a) price and (b) the fact they rarely go deep into a line.

As long as the outfits & headsculpt are good, I'd be prepared to do body upgrades and stuff later - Triad would do a good job and I know Louie is a fan of this sort of stuff, but they already have enough licences that are awaiting stuff at the moment (House, Dexter, Dark Horse, John Carter)

IT'S A SINGLE FILM! There is no "I is better than II" - it's just one film! It's my favorite QT film, I wish it got more respect. Not even a decent DVD release of the intact film.

And we never saw this from Takara (SDCC 07):

Dave, I am so, so, so, so with you on this one!
It needs to be thought of as one work, and though I still hold Reservoir Dogs in very, very high regard, Kill Bill to me is THE signature Tarantino movie!
And I have waited oh so patiently for Takara to release that figure, that now it just looks dated, so I now hope a good 1/6th company does the Bride justice soon!

I third that opinion. When I first saw Pt2 I have to say I didn't really like it - but my opinion changed when I sat down and watched 1 & 2 back to back. It should definitely have got a proper DVD release.

You'll never be able to see it "intact". Neither DVD nor Blu-Ray can house a 4-hour-plus movie without sacrificing image quality and audio options. Furthermore, the "combined" version that has played festivals (which wasn't a finalized version) still has an intermission exactly where the individual volumes were split.

On top of that, the reason the movie hasn't been revisited on home video (aside from the Blu-Ray upgrade for the volumes) is that Tarantino hasn't finished it. A few months ago he was talking about expanding the anime sequence and I've yet to see anything that suggests this is anywhere close to actually happening.

Personally, it doesn't bother me too much. I'm all for a definitive version but even as someone who considers the whole thing one single movie I can still enjoy it in its current form.

I sometimes wonder if people think there's a lot more to "The Whole Bloody Affair" than there really will be if it ever comes out. People are obviously expecting some drastically-different experience and there's actually nothing to suggest that's true.

Agreed. It drives me crazy when people say they like one more than the other. One is nothing without the other.

Not only is it QT's best film, it is one of the best feature films released in the last decade.

I get wrapped up in the split people get caught in, and they get caught up because the style of each is so different. That's why Vol.2 takes so much flak. It's my favorite Tarantino film too, and I would invest in a full line from them if it was anyone other than Hot Toys making them. (From Hot Toys, I'd be down for three at most.)

But I think it's natural to be more blown away by the portion of a story where the climax falls. Being divided gave it the appearance of two climaxes which I think lead a lot of people to being basically done with it by the end of Vol.1. They were expecting the same level of action intensity from the end and didn't get it. I don't know why the violence took precedence over the story, particularly since the ending was so incredible. One of the finest points of all of Tarantino's work is the abundance of meaning he invests in his violence. Without the story, there'd be nothing but exceptionally stylized murder. Bloody as hell, but just as dumb.

I liked the movie, now I feel its been overplayed...but as much as I liked the characters (especially Pai Mei), I still would pass on them.

I would buy Beatrix in her motorcycle jacket and then after she has escaped the coffin. I would also buy Elle Driver, Bill, Pai Mei and O-ren Ishii (Lucy Liu).

Nothing made my jaw drop last year than when Selene from Underworld won out on the HT poll of female characters. I still am surprised that one character can embody that many clichés.

I wouldn't expect a 4 hour movie on a single DVD. I just mean a release of the Whole Bloody Affair in Region 1. And if anything calls for DVD extras and a comprehensive commentary track - it's this film.

I'd be happy with just the Bride - and from HT, that's all I'd expect. But I'd buy every single character they released.

But with Miramax in transition right now, I'm sure the licensing would be difficult right at the moment.

same here. i would buy any and every character from Kill Bill. but then again, i could put up with just Kiddo on my shelf (preferably in the yellow motorcycle suit) i cant wait to see what Tarantino has in store for volume 3.....grrr 2014 is too damn far away!

I would buy the Bride in her yellow jumpsuit, and Bill for sure. Pei Mai would be a guaranteed buy for me.
