I did exactly the same bought another head as for the figure yea you hit it on the money its a pretty meh figure
As much as I like this figure, I think it should have been a con exclusive. Hot Toys would have had better reception if they released a camo version for sale at retail.
haha i didnt even notice kivas pic with snake up in the tree! its a snow drift around here right now. as soon as the nice weather hits im taking some sweet pics of some of my stuff outside. cant wait now that i have a good camera.
It's a OK figure, but far from what any fan wanted. I think the Sneaking Suit of MGS3 gets a bad rap but I just think they executed it poorly since it has ZERO articulation. And honestly, I think the head isn't great and I would of preferred a true MGS3 rendered head.
And it makes no sense to me that they gave him basically a modern version of a M16 with a 30 round magazine in 1964 and it doesn't have the vegetation on it like the game
I'm right there with you, I love the Sneaking Suit look of MGS3, but we all know that the Tiger Stripe BDU is the most iconic look of Big Boss.

Yeah theres something weird about that base that you're using kiva. it's too modern looking like it should go with Solid Snake

No any time soon, but i do fancy getting it to have a play around with. Dont think it will be a keeper though unlike this Snake.
The base would be going un-used until June so every now and then i like to give it a figure so its not laying around somewhere not being used. But i do quite like that by the point of the game you get the sneaking suit you are by the hanger and its all concrete flooring, like the base im using. If it was a fatigues version id get the original predators base
If you got rid of that big base you can display all the accessories behind snake and the boss on that 1 shelf. the cardboard box could go in the middle

The Boss should be one of those figures that reaches clearance prices on BBTS.
There was literally no room for the Box on the shelf with snake on his normal base and all his accessories. Thats why i ended up giving him the big base and putting his extras around with no box
there would be no chance i could get snake, boss and box on the 1 shelf!

Maybe both of them will come out as far as Chris Redfield does. maybe pull the shelf out like an inch and tuck the tabs on the bottom of the box inward. No?
