The figure looks awesome. The hair could be longer at the back and the leg articulation is abysmal. However the arm articulation is better than most of the other HT's ive got and the suit looks and feels quality. its a worth while figure to own even for non MGS fans.

the leg articulation is fine. just the hips are crapola.

Thanks Frank, Jason. The articulation doesn't bother me as much, just like my Batmen, I prefer the neutral poses for MGS, kinda makes them grand and imposing. :lol

The real issue is the sculpt, but Solidus said that it look better in person so I can't wait! I hope I'll get over the 3DS sculpt overtime.

Yeah it's a bummer because it's the 3Ds render but it still looks really good, one of HT better ones. It just looks like snake :lol

on mine you couldnt move the legs forward, back left or right without it springing back! And for what very limited movement you can get them in the solid boots with no ankle articulation make the poses look unconvincing as natural

That's a big claim considering what Hot Toys has came up with these past few years! :yess:

I mean if you compare it to the 3Ds render then it's damn good

As it was mentioned earlier the hair should have been longer at the back but in most of the poses i've used you rarely see much of it anyway

wow man you musta gota bad body then. im sorry for you brother. mne is so tight that it squeaks!!! originally i was scared to move him. im glad cause he never loses positions, even my boss is like that. the boss if you unzip her suit you can get some covincing shoulder poses that add to her likeability.

I agree with you, it's spot on with the 3DS. This really could have been HT's best, too bad they choose the wrong face.

It seems like common practice for all recent Manufacturers who have released MGS Snake figures to choose the incorrect face :slap

Bar the PAK PW BB

see, if you notice how a womans stature is they put their chest out with their shoulders back a little also their backs are slightly curved. when the boss is in the package shes flat as a board. sometimes when i pose figures i go to google images and i type ramdom things to get pictures of realistic poses i can mimic. i made tthe boss look twice as good just by doing a little homework.

Cool pics Jason. I think they are awesome, very pleased with them. Personally I love the sculpts, I find them to be a realistic impression of what Snake would look like. I know many of you guys like the older renders, but I find them soft looking compared to the new renders and Shinkawa's artwork.

The hair could be longer, but I remedied that by fusing the back portion of the metal boss wig to it, looks great now.

And all this about accuracy of the face, if you want to get really down to it, the renders in MGS2 aren't accurate either because they don't look like Shinkawa's artwork all that much, and since he designed the characters, his version is the "most accurate".

:goodpost: Come to think of it the snakes didnt look the same with each other. i find MGS1 snake more sharp interms of features while on the mgs2 version his facial features looked more like boxy like kurts face.... each was a new interpretation for each game.

I still believe that The Boss could have been done better, though. The head-sculpt just seems expressionless, and lacking in the usual flair that's present in the PAK figures. Snake, on the other hand, is just fantastic. I really consider the Sneaking Suit Big Boss figure as the best 1/6 figure in my MGS collection.

I agree, he's one hell of a figure. The construction of suit is impressive.
