But if you only picked up another TT to make two you did not truly double dib so you can keep ;)

I bought some extra T-1000 parts... so not out much on making a 2nd figure. But, just don't feel like needing 2 T-1000s on display at the same time.

Is toy anxiety likely to breakdown more T-1000's in order to sell police shirts/utility belts? Or will they not break down another figure until they're able to sell all the loose parts of the first figure(s) they broke down? I've never bought from TA so i don't know how they operate...

They will need to sell of a majority of the other parts first. They can't make money just selling uniforms, belts, t-shirts, and normal heads. They got to sell more pieces. But they have confirmed they would break down more, but more of those other parts do need to sell first.

I keep coming back to this thread in hopes of new in hand pics. This figure looks so awesome it's hard to resist. With that Biker outfit it looks so lifelike it's crazy!

Just waiting on the arrival of a few more bits to finish the biker then to get the second figure end of this week. I'll need to sort another triangular name piece for the stand(s) as well.

Your pics are so crystal clear,i seriously consider this figure after seeing those pics.
I love T1 and getting T1 Arnie and hopefully a Kyle Reese will happen, but not a big fan of T2 so no Arnie for me but T-1000 is really tempting.

I'm hoping to pick up parts for TA as well. I read before, just as you say, that they plan to break down more after other parts sell out or get close to it, and that gave me hope, but it has to have been at least two weeks now since their last break down and still so many spare parts are available and in great quantities. I've been watching their site regularly and it seems like really nothing of the remaining T-1000 parts are moving and so I don't really hold much hope for seeing more shirts or utility belts on there any time soon (unless they just break down a couple to stimulate the sale of others, something like that). They still have 20 split heads left, and a whole lot of helmets and biker jackets and so forth. If they re-stock any time soon they're just going to be piling up the unsellable, it seems. Going by the current rate of selling, it feels like it will take at least two - three months to sell out even half of the parts currently listed.

They will raise the prices on the parts that sold out already slightly though, so that will help with some of those parts that aren't sitting. I'm not surprised they have so many split heads though. Its pretty worthless outside of using it for a slasher victim head :monkey3

I'll be using it as part of my 4, that'll be my Pescadero head, unless they do a fully split one at some point.

For most people though, the clean or the donut head will be the most wanted, and most won't be making many of the T-1000 and won't need 3 heads. I think HT really messed up going for the healing split head instead of the fully split one, I think that one might have been more popular, I wonder why they opted for the healing only.

I don't get it either. Sometimes I thought the decisions Hot Toys make was because it was graphic. Then when I think back thats not it or we wouldn't have gotten the endo arm and other things with blood and gore etc

I never can understand their decision making. They seem to make a lot of pointless ones. Just say for arguments sake it was made because of box space... if the head that was badly blown up it would be extremely wide, no?

I do wonder if any of the really good customizers are going to try and attempt sculpting one.

For me personally the donut head should have been in with the figure and the healing head in with the Sarah as T-1000

That would have been great ..but from a marketing point of view you can see why they done it that way.

The donut head was the main reason i got the t1000 sarah ..i'm glad i have sarah in my collection now, but i don't think i would have got her otherwise.

another unexplained licensing issues, perhaps :dunno

I wonder if one could get the split head to be hot enough to pull the ends further apart and also deform it to make the blown apart head without having to fully repaint the skin part. I think lots of us have extra split head and could try it but I just don't have any expertise with the material they make the head with but you know what I mean? Hot until the material is gooey

It'll probably look goofy.

1. The sides are too thick for when it'll bend. The sheer pressure even when soft in boiling water may crack, may crack.

2. If that doesn't happen it'll probably badly mark the paint if it hasn't gave way from the middle.

3. Even if it did successfully split without cracking or damaging anything. It'll still look goofy because the sides haven't been thinned out. If it was thinned out it would be longer and thinner so better looking bends and kinks. It'll probably look like 2 flaps from a cardboard box split open wide.

Thats not to say an experienced customizer could work on that and progress with it but pressure on the sides will just look silly with any touch ups. Two thick bits somewhat folded over.

Where does the pen and handcuffs go? I am assuming the handcuffs go in the big square shape pouch, but just making certain. What did you guys do with the undersized pen?

Why the healing split head: Because it's easy to sculpt... Take a normal head excise a little part of the middle, re-sculpt the forehead and nose bridge a little... and you're done...

It also makes it easy to reverse the process to (to get a normal head) resculpt the gap in the head with putty and adjust the nose a little (and paint) .... especially useful for the motorbike cop uniform/helmet/glasses where most of the face is hidden.
