Just got home from work and had a chance to really pour over these new shots.

Amazing, just amazing. Is it me or has the blue coat been weathered a bit more and the materail a little heavier looking? It sure hangs better in these new shots. And I love the string on the shotgun...nice touch...now where's Kyle Reese, Hot Toys? :D

I'm really liking the new sculpt...has the intensity Worthington bought to the screen...and the "reveal" sculpt does have some more detail...very cool.

Thanks again, Sean for putting these shots in here....I too am really stoked for this one!

And Ed...you say you don't like it...ok, I'll probably regret this, but...why? Just curious...

The coat's more a muted shade of blue in these shots, whether actual or a tint to the photos to be like T:S cinematography, that's questionable.

No...please no kyle reese just leave him for T5

My budget only for 11 figures while I already po for 6
5 left budgeted for t600 skin v2, JC v2, blair, T800 hybrid & T800

one thing thats missing from the sculpt is blood

That's what I was thinking too!

But just now, I took a look at this picture and there isn't as much blood showing here also:

Maybe it were early production pics that HT used for their first sculpt in which he had more blood, but the filmmakers had too change it for their PG-rating :dunno

On a different note, the detail on the BD head is greatly improved, the little grid like texture above his left eye is great, and really looks like the screenshot!

 Wait.. so it's not bloody like that in the film!?

I'm not entirely sure, but the screenshot I posted is how it looks in the film. The bloodier production pictures Centrocal posted, were toned down for the film IMO.
It might had to do something with colorscheme, so the blood didn't look to red :dunno

Again, I'm not really sure about this, but this is what I recall from the film

So in that light, the new sculpt might be more screen accurate. Although I rather liked the more bloodier edges of his wounds...

Wasn't he less bloody after taking the dive into the river? By the time he snuck into Skynet HQ there was little blood on him. But there was some red-ness because of the exposed wounds, but I can do without too much of that on the HT figure.

The new pics are still not perfect, but they are good enough for me. I'm definately getting this one.

Nope, all the damage is quite muted, either on purpose for rating sake or as part of the tinting process for the film color, but when you see his wounds, it's more like a subtle charred blackish look at the very edge like on his torso, almost more like he's dirty than bloody, and there's really no muscle or anything that shows, basically a sharp transition from flesh to metal.

Well even the proto had the red, but either way, I'm glad it's there on the new one too, it's a cool little feature, especially as out of place as it it, his eye doesn't appare damaged, the part the light comes through, looks in as good a shape as the right side, but yet that endo light still comes through, really neat.

So the new updated Battle Damaged sculpt is more accurate then in your opinion?
