Here is my set up so far...I was considering returning it because I wasn't sure I really liked the look, but once I got it out of the box I started liking it more...Need to re watch the movie now just to compare figure to real life movie character...excuse the window blind glare...

I think the jumpsuit color is a good compromise between the factions. Blue vs purple.

just got this figure and I’m loving it. Only thing I would have like to see is the armor plates being diecast. That would have been a cool touch
Haha - I agree, and Howard missed an opportunity to get us Corgi and Dinky Toy 70s-era die-cast lovers (speaking for myself) for another $100.

I kinda get it. It adds some 'authenticity' being made of materials closer to what they would have been in-universe. We have real hair, real wood floor and real metal bars with the IA Joker and real leather is always on people's mind with all the pleather flaking. Diecast parts being velcroed on is just asking for the glue to give up over time though.

Yeah but the screen uses armour isn’t made from metal so as long as it looks like that then :dunno

I don't disagree. It's a nostalgia thing, and a sense of "it weighs more so it's higher quality." Until you can't pose it dynamically because the joints aren't strong enough to hold a pose . . .

Bottom line, it's a personal preference thing. Nothing more.

All of you guys dismiss diecast like its a gimmick or a scam. I got the Endgame Captain America with the plastic shield and Im sorry, but the Civil War Cap is a far more premium feeling product. A finely tailored fabric outfit and metal shield vs a plastic vinyl pinheaded figure. When I compare the 2 I just see a drop in quality.

And that cheap hollow plastic hammer is so lame. It just feels so rinky-dink, like wtf did I buy? Did they get this out of a cereal box?

My Mando feels fine without die cast armour pieces, I'd rather save the $100+ that HT would add to the price for it.

Looks like the on set armor was more flexible. I need rubber armor on my figure.

In all seriousness, I prefer plastic. Sharper details and (in the case of Jango) the weight would throw off the balance for posing. I would see attaching the diecast to the pleather vest and suit as problematic. It’s good to have in those Iron Man figures (and similar), but even they use plastic for the more detailed parts. No matter how you explain it, it seems to come down to personal preference, but diecast just isn’t practical to certain applications.

This. Thank you for posting.

The recency bias/frustration is real here. People were angry about BOBF’s malleable armor in a few shots but seem to have forgotten this sequence made Jango’s gear look straight off the cardboard bag of a Spirit Halloween get-up.
