Cap truly is a great piece. I'm a huge fan of the character and was extremely happy when I found out Joe Johnston would be directing it. My faith in him paid off immensely. The custom Bucky looks great even though the HS is not the real actor. I've been scouring the boards and I'm surprised no one has given any of the other howling commandos a try. I'm setting up a pretty big Cap diorama (waiting for Hot Toys Skull) and it would be great to give Cap a wing man to take on Schmidt and his minions. Even a Dum Dum Duggan would be fantastic. I have NO custom experience so I would never even try to make one myself though. How cool would a Dum Dum Duggan be or even a Union Jack?! Comic version of union jack of course.

Well now that you mention it...

^^ Hell yeah Anzik!!! I also have a Union Jack and Dum Dum on the way to go with my other custom Howling Commandos. I can't wait to see how you pull your's off.

Decided to picked up Captain America's 1940's shield made by Master Replica. It has some weight to it, But it looks awesome. Here is Superman holding on to it.

just got this the other day & was wondering bout a post i saw on here bout a belt mod. does anyone know why its needed? was the belt altered to go inside the pants loops? the belt does ride up on him but if you look at the loops, it doesnt even look like it would fit through it. anyone know what page # that discussion is on?

It is not a belt mod, it´s a ammo belt mod. Someone feel that the ammo belt was to "large" across his chest and decided to mod, for "movie accuracy".

In my opinion, it was just a case of having a lot of time to waste looking for mod things that don´t need to be moded.

Regards,

You're wrong.

The belt mod is in fact a belt mod. The buckle on most of the belts is on facing the wrong direction. Many people arent picky enough to bother with it. However, if you do, the buckle separates into two pieces and has a magnet inside to hold it back together.

The belt is not supposed to go through the loops as it is a tactical belt. In the film he had a separate belt for his pants but HT left that out out so it didnt bulk up the area too much.

He is right the ammo belt does not go through the pants loops in the movie, but I tried using a Dragon Models belt on the pants and it made the ammo belt buckle stick way out (probably Hot Toys saw the same thing). So I bought a second belt to customize, I peeled the vinyl belt back where it was folded and super glued (at the buckle), ran it through the loops making sure I put the pouches where they would have been normally, and then re-glued it.

The only thing is the little medal rivets in the ammo belt can pull out really easy and the thin edge where they are can also rip. I tore one out and had to super glue it back. I am really glad I bought an extra belt to put him back factory when the time comes to put him away; something in the far future.

:exactly: The T1000 came with two belts, a dress belt and a tactical belt, but if you tried to display it with both belts it didn't look right.
