A Cap Shield or just regular Aluminum shield? I was even looking at the official $50 shield made by rubies. I want something decent to display than a plastic shield. I'm really tempted to drop $500 plus on the replica.

eh No, I bought a spun aluminium shield off a friend and finished it myself, I only made the star and the bracket set and painted it.

I bought my shield from at guy on the RPF forum who makes them. Pretty pricey, but IMO the nicest one I've ever seen. When I bring it to conventions with my costume, I literally spend half of my time showing it to people because everyone wants to see/touch/ask questions about it.
