I admit, I usually keep the brown shippers too, but most of them I just flatten out and stack them in a pile.
You guys are making me rethink my purchase. Mine arrives later this week and with the influx of other figures I'm feeling like this may be dropping in interest level after hearing stuff like this. I really don't want to deal with major QC issues and I already have GA Cap so maybe I just sell or return this and wait on AOU Cap...

I buy to collect, I don't care about selling later on, I have limited funds so I don't buy a figure unless I really want it. No way would I keep a $250 collectible sealed and out of sight. It's just a waste of money that way. Might as well tape up an empty cardboard box.
I'm the same way. I keep both the box and brown shipper. After I take the figure out I put all unused accessories back in the box and tape up the shipper. I've got all my boxes stored away in tubs.I agree, I buy to collect and display, but should anything happen it is always best to have all the accessories, including the shipper. I'm a completionist in that manner.
All my Brown shippers I guess you call it are flattened and stored away in another area of my home. IMO it creates too much space in my house. No need. Besides those are the boxes that have been rattling around in the UPS truck with all the other packages they deliver from all parts of the U.S. and other countries.
Who knows what has touched that box in all it's travels. I can honestly say all imported brown shipper packages I get from HK or Asia to the USA. They are immediately flattened and sometimes thrown away or recycled depending the damage. I don't feel comfortable at all leaving them in my room or house. They were on a boat for god's sake..do you blame me. Especially when they are inspected from a plane trip at customs..NO WAY! Who knows what the customs looks like
To each their own I guess. I give you guys kudos for keeping the shippers in your house. That's just not my cup of tea
Never thought of it that way. Good thing I'm not a germophobe or I'd be killing my shippers with fire.

^ Wow that's a lot of parts you got there. I wish I had money to burn like that
It *was* a hefty cost. Over $600 on one order, but i really wanted those parts and blew a fair chunk of this month's budget, which i was saving for the Cap parts.
You can look at it as a lot of money, or as possibly $1000 worth of parts if you sold them in a year or two separately on Ebay(Which i won't as Cap is my main display, both official figures and customs).
I keep my shippers break em down and put them with the figure boxes inside my 89 Batmobile box. I plan to keep all my figs but I will NEVER sell my 89 Batmobile, so I threw out all the stuffing in the box. My 89 box my toy chest lol.

I'm glad you said this, Nothing I hate more as a seasoned collector then somebody hoarding parts just to resell them, not only is not right and it's a down right insult to collectors like us and most on this forum.
The flipside was that if you say: "I don't have the cash right now", what could cost you $600 now might cost $1200 later.
So don't think of it like spending $600.
Think of it as SAVING $600....
