I caved and PO from sideshow for the black chrome version.

They charge me $278.74 on my paypal and not $25? How does this NRD works? I thought they charge $25 then the rest when its ship? No?

still like the other version a lot too, but that shine looks so cool.

It's mostly just his helmet and a huge split in his chest.

His voice synthesizer is damaged as well and he goes in and out of his Batman and Bruce Wayne voice.

I'm not interested in the "Chocolate" or "chrome" version of this figure at all. I'm a nut for screen accuracy when it comes to certain figures and even though it "looks cool", it just doesn't make any sense when looking at the movie or the comic book, which I loved. The chrome looks like "Ferrari armored Batman", Lol. I will definitely not be changing my preorder of the original. Again, this is all just IMO, so please don't accost me. Lol.

I think somewhere inbetween will be nice.... the movie version has some sparks of diecast metal, not necessary due to rain... it looks metal.... whereby HT version looks very matt plasticky (since its plastic, the paintwork has to do this figure a favour by creating a diecast look if properly painted)..

I was looking at this still in hi res and he looks more matte than metallic



I assume thîs costume was filmed with a mixture of practical and CG effects much like the Iron Man films, maybe that's why it's not very consistent from scene to scene I don't know.

he isn't I don't think. In some scenes where its raining he looks like theres a shine on his suit but still doesn't look black.

I want HT to make all possible versions of Batman from this. I've been reading Hush again and Affleck looks just like Jim Lee's art. I am so stoked for this!!!

The 'Black Chrome' variant is in partnership with a Hong Kong retailer called Chocolate.

Hot Toys and Chocolate have collaborated twice already on limited release variants of figures Hot Toys has already done.

It's not from the movie, just a collectible.

I've pre ordered both as I love the screen accurate/comic accurate look featured in the film, as well as the collectibility of a collaborative effort.
