Someone posted a video today, and ironically it seems to look better without the glasses on. Lol

Although he does look pretty decent next to Neo.

Looks good there.

I'm going to wait for you to get it in hand to decide. I'm also very curious about this 2nd coat -- does it work? In the video you posted, it doesn't look like it can close, which defeats its purpose.

Yeah it appears the one side of the coat doesn't extend as far over as it needs to, or as it did on the proto, which is disappointing. Although I never cared as much for that coat anyway and wasn't really planning to use it.

Got mine today, and i think it's pretty good. A new tie can be fabricated easily enough. The glasses do look cheap, but replacing them is not entirely straightforward. The stock ones are metal, and are helped to stay in place by a magnet, buried in the headsculpt. Replacement glasses would also have to be metal otherwise they would be falling off constantly, unless you were willing to glue them on permanently.

Bizarrely, mine came with a Caucasian body. Bending the arms too much, raises the sleeves, so that it's just visible. Very odd.

I think it would take more than a silver pen myself, as the glasses just look way too flat and unconvincing as is. They really need that slight curve, as well as a much thinner bridge piece.

Sadly my figure appears to have gotten held up in HK due to the holiday break, so don't think I'll be seeing it for awhile.

The lenses don't really look that chrome to me, except in a few daylight shots. They're reflective but still pretty dark, so I'd probably use a metallic black paint to achieve that.

If people want to mod the glasses to look closer. Trying taking some UV glue and adding it to the lenses. It will dome them and add a high gloss surface. Just make sure and let the glue fully cure before touching it.

I got him in last night, sorry I didn't take pics but just opened to check him out. Impressed with the packaging and box from Toys Works. I like the headsculpt more in person. The eyes could be a little glossier, but I'll probably have the glasses on most of the time anyway. I don't have any of the stuff mentioned to fix the glasses laying around, so if anyone actually attempts it, I'd love to see the results. But yeah glasses are just black plastic, so they don't look great on him. Outfit looks nice, around the neck there could be a lot of touching depending on pose, so I'm slightly worried about neck staining, but I'll see what I can do once I actually have space to display him.

Morpheus arrived today and I have to say that I really like the figure so far. It will look fantastic next to my custom "Reloaded" Neo. All around quality is there on this one.

The head sculpt is actually very good in person, both in sculpt and paint apps. Glasses look good from normal viewing distance and I'm not sure if I'm ready to risk silver leafing them unless I were to obtain a spare first. Be careful, as mine didn't stick too well to the bridge of the nose and I dropped them a couple of times.

Outfit is very nice, all around. The two coats provided look very good except for some slight bends/creases from being in the packaging. I'm sure with some futzing and time, they will disappear.

My only complaint is with the tie, which is the wrong color and the knot is rather on the large size. I'll see about working on that as well.

Weapons are ok. The sword is detailed and has a shiny silver finish on the blade which captures the light fantastically.

Finally, the base is similar to the latest Hot Toys "block" bases except that it didn't have a name plate attached at the front. (Unless I just didn't see it in the packaging.) I assume due to the lack of official licensing, they left it without one. I'll pick up one from EvilFace. The base is black with the classic tiny green Matrix lettering streaming. Slick looking.

I'm really glad I picked up the figure and I'm going to go ahead and pre-order Trinity now as well.

I ordered from GiantToy and they double-boxed the shipping outer box and even wrapped the inner shipping box in plastic with a label stating that it is sealed and mint condition. Pretty cool of them to do.

Here are some of my classic crappy pics... :wink1:
