I dunno, the lower portion of his mouth looks weird...almost as if he's been joker-fied.

I'm clearly in the minority but I don't think the head sculpt is that bad. It's not their best work it also isn't the worst. They can definitely make some improvements but I'm ok with the figure.

I actually don’t mind the sculpt. There’s a few angles where it looks really good. I think the horned helmet will help, not to mention the viewing distance when he’s on a shelf.[emoji846]

Totally in agreement with everyone who thinks the headsculpt looks fine. I know it’s going to look better in person and SSM is right that the helmet does help.

A few things to consider (as I feel people are comparing this with A1 Loki) is that Tom Heddleston is now 37 which is 7 years older than his appearance in A1. And please trust me when I say that most men’s faces change (age) quite a bit between early and late 30’s.

Also, when A1 Loki was released, there was a great deal of criticism about him which led to both a shortage and price spikes (he was reasonably priced in the aftermarket for a bit here and there but would always shoot back up). His accessories are going to be coveted like the Tesseract (it still boggles my mind that no one makes 3/4 inch blue cubes) and the A1 Scepters were.

So yeah, NOONE BUY HIM, HE LOOKS TERRIBLE :lol

I find that really noticeable with Chris Hemsworth. I'm not a big fan of the older sculpts but they are more reflective of the way he looked back then. Hemsworth looks like a male Barbie in Avengers 1 by comparison to even Ragnarok before the haircut..

I have both A1 & DW Loki figures and... these figures don't smile or even smirk actually :dunno

Tom H. did get older but I think it's most obvious between Thor 1 and A1 and less after... as he allready had some wrinkles at early 30 or even less (that kind of movie isn't shot in 3 weeks) and he doesn't have many more at late 30 ^^

I think so too. :)

:exactly: I agree with that 100%, so not really right to compare it with the A1 figure.

Regardless I quite like it and am looking forward to adding this version to my collection. And, yes, please no-one buy it, that way I can pick one up cheap and use the head sculpt for a custom suited version! :yess: :lol

I'm still gonna keep my pre-order. There's time to fix the head sculpt, particularly the mouth/expression which looks a tad off. I think the sculpt is actually pretty good if they just fix the mouth a tad.

What's a good body for a custom Loki? I got the Acplay two button suit and idk what to use
