These troopers are easy money. Mould a few armour panels, pants and hands. Weather it up a bit and done. Profit on these must be the highest of all figures.

Considering how much this guy was in the movie he doesn't deserve to be made at all really. But I guess they need to offer something, otherwise people lose interest in HT. And in the end we all know $$$ makes the decisions round here.

Maybe that's why the Range Trooper has yet to be seen. I assume the production/development cost will be higher for that guy compared to the 3 shown.

This is a bigger risk* than an OT trooper and I appreciate them taking it.

*Though the risk is minimal since they’ll probably only make a small number, troopers sell, and it’s a cool design.

You say Disney derisively, but new trooper designs from this era have been consistently strong.

Hard to figure out HT release strategy from one movie to another. Arguably as important as Rogue One's tank commander to the story but this gets direct PO while the commander only got prototype status. I certainly hope patrol trooper getting a release means the other three will too but you never really know until PO goes live with HT.

There are over 100 Star Wars characters left to be made which are more iconic than this cop trooper. Where is Bespin Han, ESB Lando, Death Star Trooper, Krennic, Veers, etc. The design of this is fine but feels like a waste of time and resources at the moment.

I think it comes down to timing and having the benefit of looking at how well the Rogue One troopers sold.

Rogue One unfortunately saw its figure lineup revealed and released in the wake of the TFA trooper overproduction debacle. Stores are still struggling to unload those figures today. They really miscalculated demand, unfortunately, and I believe RO suffered as a result.

They went very conservative with the Rogue One figures, both in terms of number of releases and the number produced, even though the movie performed solidly.

But now they know how well the RO troopers sold and what figures like the Shoretrooper and RO Stormtrooper are commanding now.

They’ll be keen to repeat that success by selling a limited number of interesting troopers. But hopefully they’re willing to give us a greater selection this time around since they can be a bit more confident that they’ll sell.

Still wish we could get the Shoretrooper variants and Tank Commander though. Maybe someday.

It's a great design but he surely needs his speeder!
When I saw the early filming sequences of this last year I'd hoped that speeder was going to have longer screen time.
Awesome brutalist form that was barely used. A shame.

Nice! Not interested in this one but it's a cool design and I'm glad HT is going forward with more Solo stuff! I'm also surprised this isn't the Range Trooper. I guess they're saving that one for a Comic Con reveal?

Orders Mudtrooper as I doubt we will see the patrol trooper...

This one, though blink and you miss it, is fantastic.

This was my favourite design of this film.

I am going to have to preorder it too.

I know it's a prototype, and it's probably meant to be weathering, but that paint application on the centre chest piece is bloody terrible.

Otherwise cool trooper I guess, but I won't be getting him.

Looks pretty cool. Don't think it is something I will order. Wish it was Beckett but nice to see more figures from this movie.
