Yep agree. The only thing I'd like to see is them up-size Thor a bit but that's a problem on all their Thor figures, IMO.

My sentiments also. At least the ones with the sleeves. The sleeveless ones to me look fine.

Eh...Thor needs an update..

Eh, not the best, but as I mentioned, I think that?s mostly because the outfit imo opinion isn?t very interesting. Figure wise, he essentially looks the same as all the others. The one to me that would be in need of an update is the first Thor.

The one where if it was intended to be Leonardo DiCaprio, people would say it looks more like Chris Hemsworth.

I can't update any of my A1 collection with new stuff no matter how much better the new versions. I kind of like having a set of figures that all came out together. I did give the A1 Cap, Thor and Hawkeye headsculpts from AOU but the originals are still in the box.

I do have the new 2.0 MKVII but will never sell the original. I will probably get this as i have all the other caps but i'll wait until it is released to decide.

Good idea. He?ll look great next to the VI and VII

Yuppie!

Yeah I feel the Thor figures should be bigger/taller, as he's a Norse god. I wouldn't mind if HT oversized Thor a bit, even if it's not screen accurate, but then again Ht's scaling seems inconsistent.

I'm thinking of PO-ing Cap but am a little apprehensive about the plastic shield; how is everyone's experience here with the painted plastic Cap shield that HT's already released (A1 Cap BD Shield, Concept Cap, D23 Endgame Cap, just to name the few I can remember)?

I had the TFA Cap and the plastic electroplated shield only lasted a year or so before it eventually started flaking..

My A1 Cap shield is still perfect.

The only shield I ever had a problem with was the original TFA shield. The Avengers shields are still the same as when the figure released for me.

Seems kind of strange now that Hot Toys is regressing to the plastic shields for every Cap release.
We were moving through Winter Soldier and AoU and into Civil War with diecast shields and now they are back to plastic.
I'm sure it is a cost thing, but still kind of annoying.

If they can make the shield colors vibrant AND DURABLE, wouldn't plastic shields actually be the better way to go based on weight alone? I think it would give far more posing options barring restrictiveness of the suit on any given Cap figure. What do you think?

I guess after owning both styles over the last couple years I prefer the diecast. Just has a much more quality feel to it.
I replaced all the plastic shields I had with diecast ones, just for the look.

There is no difference in the way paint looks on plastic or the cheap pot metal you prefer.

I'm particularly fine with either or, but of course to me a die-cast shield is more striking. However, my AoU Cap's shield weighs down his arm if I pose it up.

I a not someone who poses these figures but I am always surprised that the people who do sometimes demand Diecast shields that puts extra stress on the joints of the figure for no benefit in looks. Paint is paint. There's no difference in the look of paint on the shields. My A1 cap battle damage shield has no issues and it's been on display for years.

So this is the same as the avengers release from way back, but with a plastic shield instead? Meh.
