It's an all Odin night tonight, with not one but TWO reviews of the latest release from Hot Toys. I'm checking him out as is Jeff Parker...but here's the oddity: Jeff didn't like him as much as I did! I'm not sure that's ever happened before, and while the difference is slight, it's still interesting. Well, at least to me.

You can find the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

Okay, I recognize the Mayan and the Shrine of Dagon, but where'd that sweet door come from??

The LEGENDARY Michael Crawford! I've been reading your reviews for YEARS now! Your site was (and practically still is) my "go to" guide on newly released figures and picking which ones to buy. Keep making excellent reviews as always!

"This product was provided free for the review by the manufacturer."

Michael has the hook-up.

Some of the time...Hot Toys has gotten more consistent these last 6 months with sending over product, but I still buy my fair share. Not these two though, but I did order Cap just to be sure I have him - he's too sweet not to!

Hey, thanks man! I'll keep writing as long as people keep reading...

Great reviews as always! Keep up the good work.

I'm surprised to hear that Thor's upper outfit under the armour isn't rubber. It sure looks like it is rubber..what material is it made of?

It seems to be thin formed vinyl, so it fits well to the body, but hampers the articulation a little.

Thanks Wooks! Better to hamper the articulation than leak and disintegrate I'd say. Hope Hot Toys figures it out before the Dark Knight Rises. Thanks again.

The door was from a Mezco figure of the Golom. It's probaby 8 - 10 years old, I think...

Oh yeah yeah yeah, I remember that. That was part of Silent Screamers I think. They did some awesome stuff back in the day.

Didn't they also do a large scale Maria from Metropolis and a classic King Kong as well, a local comic store had them and I always meant to buy that Kong!

EDIT

Just did a search, Kong was by McFarlane-

And it doesn't look as good as I remember it!
