Just got my shipping confirmation from SS. No extra weight = no Angelica. It blows that some got three while some got none. I know...I'm a Bitter Betty.

Does it matter at all how many orders a person makes a month with SS? I wonder if people who got them are very loyal customers or something... one dude getting 3 while others get none is damn nuts.

I got a free Angelica on my very first SSC order which was Evil Superman with packout of course.

I'm also in California if it means anything.

I've been buying from Sideshow since 1999 so I don't think so. I didn't order with pack-out. I wonder if that's it?

I bought something recently and called to request a pack-out, but they couldn't do it since I paid with paypal. Bummer.

They packed out my DX 12 Batman that I paid with PayPal last year. That's odd reasoning.

Yeah, I thought it was kind of weird too. I asked her if I could have a pack-out on my item. She put me on hold for 15 minutes and when she came back she said it couldn't be done because paypal payments are considered completed payment contracts, so they can't do any alterations. I didn't think it was worth arguing about.

That seems to be the trend. From what I've been reading, I've noticed it's also been done with items that don't have a shipper box and need to be placed in a separate box like the Medicom Gizmo doll. Like you said, there's no guarantee that you'll get one, but it's a decent gamble for $10 extra on top of the price of shipping a 1/6 figure.

I think they may have sent me one, my Medicom Royal Guard shipment is 7.6 lbs while the figure's shipping weight is listed at 4 lbs. I wonder though if they're doing this with any other figures. Has anyone heard of this with any figures aside from Angelica?

No I did not, however as it is a medicom it probably needed an outer box automatically

i received DX13 last week and received a medicom Mickey Mouse figurine as a free figure. I was on of the first to get packouts years ago and i've been averaging a figure a month from SS for last 6 months and never got an Angelica. Sad because i think most who received her don't collect Pirates...Jack is lonely on my shelf!

People on other threads seemed to say that Angelica was a domestic pack-out thing. No idea if there is any evidence to the contrary.

It came with my gizmo figure... I had no pack out option on that. The best way to tell if you got one or not is by your shipping weight. If it is 4 pounds over, you are golden.

It really is a great figure. Not one I would buy on my own.... But it compliments Jack Sparrow nicely. My only complaint is its hard to swap the hands. Heating is definitely required for the gloved hands, otherwise you will damage the forearm.
