I just started collecting HT in August and I just found out today that HT had done some PotA figures in the past. Does anyone here own any? If so whats your opinion? PotA was always one of my favorite series and I'd LOVE to own these figures but the prices Im seeing on ebay are astounding, can that really be what people are asking for these or is it just the usual ebay scalpers? If so are they worth it? I'm torn because I find it reeeeaaaally hard to turn down a PotA figure like this.

I found Helena Bonham Carter somewhat attractive as an ape woman and am not too fond of her in her human form. Strange stuff.

These Hot Toys Planet of the Apes figures were some nice looking monkey figures. If I was more than a casual fan of the series, I would have definitely picked some of them up. Secondary prices are a little steep right now, I believe, but keep an eye out and you might be able to find them at a fairly decent price. It happens from time to time.

Boba Ben me and my wife have said the same EXACT thing! Something about her as an ape was attractive yet as an actual human........well, pass.

The HT's are hands down the best POTA apes available without going the custom route. The hand pegs do tend to be a bit loose, butthat seems to vary depending on the figure. The accessories, and uniforms blow away what Sideshow did in terms of being more film/TV accurate.
Secondary market prices are tending to be high, but, as was said, if you keep looking you can find a decent deal from time to time.
As for the Sideshow thread, it is NOT just a Sideshow thread. You will find many posts and pix of the HT's as well as many other brands and even quite a few customs that you may find yourself wanting if you ae a true apes fan.
