I think thats the only way we'll get a decent Arnold likeness...like Ripley. So, they probably didnt really get the likeness.

So in looking at the original images of Dutch and Billy it looks like the sculpt for Dutch is the same... so I'm wondering if we'll still be getting the cigar or not?

Seems like the Two-Face figure has a skin like material, so I'm thinking maybe his mouth has some give and you can just put add a cigar or not w/o having an odd shaped mouth.

Dont know how they pulled that off though....

Because the HT one doesnt really look a ton like Arnold.

Because even the "great" sculptors fall short sometimes. Yulli is VERY talented but not perfect. She did Christian Bale's portrait twice and missed really capturing him both times. Andy B. did it once and nailed it. That's why it's good to have a diversity of sculptors out there, sometimes even the best miss the mark but others manage to get it.

i think both sculpts have their merit. and if i could paint worth a flip the ssc would look even better.

People comment about the skin texturing of HT not making a difference, but to me, it's a huge factor in the HT figure looking like a real human being and the SSC head looking like a product.

There's a finish to HT heads that just gets that realism.

No comparison. The HT one has more life to it. The one on the right is still a good likeness, but the paint makes it look like a toy.

i agree.........especially if you look at the transition below the eye to the cheek area. ht really does capture the natural looking sag/fall of skin on the face.

O come on how can you even compare the two, the HT one is soooo much better.

I agree 100%

Before Bank Robber Joker I would have given this sculpt an A-.

After BR Joker I'd say its a B.

Looking forward to seeing more angles.

I agree. The sculpt, paint etc. look fantastic and provide a sense of realism. The overall resemblance to Arnold is lacking (especially the hair).

A toss up at the moment, to have or not have tis the question

I do think it looks better than the Sideshow, but I think a lot of it is the paint. The repainted and (of course reworked by Darren) show that there was a good sculpt from Sideshow. Just really got let down by the paint apps.

Yup. Andy got the Arnie facial anatomy just fine. It's touchest like paint apps and skin texturing that make the difference.

Sideshow figures, while high end in appearance, still look like high end products. Hot Toys method for production heads really is the difference.

As much as well all love Trev's ANH Ben, run the anatomical work he did through HT's production process and it'd be beyond words.

Or even if the skin tone was done like Gandalf I think the figure would be that much better. But yeah, if HT got it we'd be in geek heaven :lol

Although the head is the only thing i've used for my T-800 custom I still get way more compliments on this one than any other custom I have..........
