Hot Toys Predator 2: Shadow Predator full review

Finishing off my trio of Hot Toys con exclusives for 2011 with the Shadow Predator from Predator 2. Admittedly at first glance this guy doesnt appear to be packing as many goodies as some of his earlier brethren, but he's still a very cool and very ugly mother!

that Elder cutlass infuriates me. the least they could've done is make the scabbard for it since they didn't include one with the Elder. or just the sword the Lost pred was supposed to have. i've got somebody making a scabbard for me on here. someone else needs to step up and make the Lost's sword.

I can see where you are coming from on the sheath for the machete, but its just not a big deal for me. Easy fix if it's important to ya, but I dont even notice it.

Great review, as always. Really excited to get this guy on my shelf! He and Classic will mark my 9th and 10th HT Predators, but I have no intention of stopping there -- especially if remakes might be in order. Either that or a new movie comes out.

is just seems kinda lazy is all. if HT is so determined to give these preds accessories they didn't have in the movie, at least give them what they didn't bother to include with their other preds the first time.

Again, as a Predophile I can see your point, but like I said, to most casual fans the sheath is not something many wory about. Yep I'd have liked one with the Elder Pred 2... but with the 'Snake/Shadow' here it's surely omething of a moot point!

How would you compare him vs the paint scheme on the Predator 2. They look kind of similar in the head department as far as the paint apps are concerned.

How would you compare him vs the paint scheme on the Predator 2. They look kind of similar in the head department as far as the paint apps are concerned.

My Pred 2 is in storage atm, but from memory his was more complex in the degree of paternation. However he's a few years old now, and the quality of application is more subtle on the Shadow pred. So it's a little from column A and a little from column B... sorry, thats not much help is it.

Cheers. I think it's fair to say that if this was your only Predator, he might look a little lost (bad pun). But for anyone that has at least a couple of others he looks pretty sick displayed along side them.
