The Emperor's shuttle just arrived and I can say the following, with the figure in possession:
1. Grin doesn't appear goofy. I still would have preferred at least the option of a more serious face, though.
2. Hands are indeed over-sized. Not like he's wearing baseball gloves but could have been slightly smaller. Still, not distracting enough.
3. I don't know about the Hot Toys throne, but the Jazz, Inc. one is perfect. He sits perfectly, feet flat on floor and with the perfect slight slouch. The throne is Goldilock sized, too. Not too big; not too small. Just right. So glad I went this route.
4. The cardboard cover for the figure stand is a joke. It is exactly in design like the plastic stand but just slightly angled.
5. The cane is finally the correct length. Looks great in it's glossy blackness.
I took some very quick, non-futzed pics on his Jazz.Inc throne. My crappy pics don't do him or the throne justice.
