Hot Toys ROTJ Emperor Palpatine

The Emperor's shuttle just arrived and I can say the following, with the figure in possession:

1. Grin doesn't appear goofy. I still would have preferred at least the option of a more serious face, though.
2. Hands are indeed over-sized. Not like he's wearing baseball gloves but could have been slightly smaller. Still, not distracting enough.
3. I don't know about the Hot Toys throne, but the Jazz, Inc. one is perfect. He sits perfectly, feet flat on floor and with the perfect slight slouch. The throne is Goldilock sized, too. Not too big; not too small. Just right. So glad I went this route.
4. The cardboard cover for the figure stand is a joke. It is exactly in design like the plastic stand but just slightly angled.
5. The cane is finally the correct length. Looks great in it's glossy blackness.

I took some very quick, non-futzed pics on his Jazz.Inc throne. My crappy pics don't do him or the throne justice.

to bad Jazz`s throne did not come with LEDS or I would have bought one.

Those who got the BBTS email, which version did you get? I have the Emperor/Throne combo on preorder and haven't gotten any email yet, just curious if it might just be the emperor by himself right now.

It was supposed to, initially. I even submitted a down-payment with that in mind. Unfortunately, he couldn't get it done correctly with the material that he used on the throne. (seems to be ceramic and weighs like 10 pounds!).

In the end, while the lights are indeed cool, the fact that the throne is in perfect scale and the Emperor looks amazing sitting in it, it is a small price to pay.

I had been planning on having the throne in the background, along with two Royal Guards and displaying the "standing" Emperor in front. But now that he is seated, I'm hooked with that pose.

I got the hot toys throne and still have the sideshow throne as well so all and all the hot toys is in detolf an the ss version is going back inside the box.

Jazz's throne looks a little bit taller than Hot Toys stock, and seems "slimmer" too..overall very nice one!

Yeah I gotta say tilting his head down like that definitely seems to make the smile work better and look a lot more sinister when he's on the throne.

Hmm, I wonder what they did with the base and the chair. Seems to be thats how you get the feet to not dangle.
