Well when he was younger he did go by the nickname of "free ballin Palps". So I guess anythings possible....

I forget what my initial prediction was regarding price. I think it was either $219 or $229 for just the regular figure. I'm going to go with the latter on what the price of the regular figure will be.

Deluxe I think will be around $300 though.

I personally think it's the same sculpt. It's just the way they futzed the hood that makes it look different. Having it flare out like a triangle the way they did at conventions made it look too wide. Having it drape vertically right against his head, the way it's supposed to be, makes it look thinner. Not to mention exposing the neck a bit more as well.

No way the final paint job is going to look that good, but yeah I definitely see a huge improvement in the sculpt.

Did the actual throne have lights on both sides?

We only saw lights on his right side in the film. I don't remember if we ever saw the left side of the throne.

I would think so, but occasionally Friday releases do get pushed to Monday. I don't think it will, but it has happened!

I think they've fixed the window's peak on the Vader as well.

I was thinking the same, it's a little hard to see for sure though.

So the other day i was thinking to myself, "Well, they haven't shown any movement on the Emperor or Royal Guard in quite some time. I supposed it will be a while before they release them. I guess i will go ahead and use up my points and get the new Wonder Woman PF." Now, two days later, we get not one, but BOTH of them at once. ~sigh~ My credit card is melting. On the bright side, both figures look fantastic! My only wish is that they make the Emperor's eyes a little more yellow and it would be nice to have an alternate headsculpt.
