The Sideshow throne looks to be small in scale, in that pic. I have the SS Emperor so I know he's not the one out of scale.

Just got my sideshow order of two. One has some mild rubbing from the plastic covering, the other has what looks like a small dark ink spot.

I think the "white" spots we've been seeing are powder from the little hands of the worker's "clean gloves" as they place the figure in the box.

Ok, so just got mine from Sideshow. Not a fan of the fabric used. Sooooo many creases in the material. My eyes instantly went to three spots forming a triangle..and a few other lighter areas on the robe. I know that none of them are going to be perfect, so I honestly don't know if this is considered one of the dreaded spots or a normal example. First picture is me trying my best with my phone to get a shot where they show up. Second is just another picture where I'm not trying to get them to show up.

Christ! They don't do it to all pics, but the forum compressed the hell out of those pics! They're just red blurs now. Took me quite a while to get some quality pictures with my phone. You can actually see the three dots more prominently on the first then the second, but with the forums magic, the second pic looks worse.

It now looks like I'm BS'ing due to the basic lack of evidence because of the mega compressed images. I just want to know is there anyone out there that has a super eye for detail, and the robe on theirs is completely flawless with no lighter colored marks at all.

I don't know what their deal is lately but that's why I left them.

I thought PopC got their own stock direct from HT. They're not part of Sideshow's "North American" distribution network since they're in Australia, right?

When I had a QC issue they told me they had to go back to SS for the parts as SS supplies them.

Just got my 2 guards from ss and look to be spot free. A little wrinkly, but I hope they flatten over time. Anyone on the fence, these are awesome. Simple and maybe overpriced, but wow, they pop in a detolf. I may just put palpatine and his throne with Jedi Luke. These guys look great by themselves.
The end of an expensive week to say the least. In seven days I received esb Vader, esb boba, and 2 guards. Insane.

Now, do I need two more guards before they sell out?

Stranger and stranger. Makes no sense considering PopC gets their stock at such odd times in general with seemingly no uniformity and seems to get stock that's long gone from Sideshow. PopC is pretty well known for getting things that have sold out elsewhere months later -- like the Snow Speeder Luke, etc. I always consider them an emergency last-chance place for that reason. Perhaps they've made a new arrangement with Sideshow for Hot Toys?

Yeah. PC just got the Praetorian Guards about the same time as SciFi Toys, and those guys have Jedi Luke already. It’s all higgeldy-piggeldy!

Mine came today, and it has a spot. I tried to clean it once and it's hardly noticeable now.

While PC did get Sideshow product direct from SSC (and seemingly a few HT pieces, perhaps dependent on the Asia/U.S. exclusive rules) their HT distributor is Ikon Collectibles.

I would say that PC has gone downhill a bit in the past year or so - their CS, always pretty decent, has gotten to a point where it takes a week for them to respond to an e-mail, and they follow that up with a CS survey of all things. Even with currency exchange issues, their prices seem to have spiked more than they should - perhaps knowing that Aust collectors have few other options now due to import tax changes.
