Has anyone bought from Timcent and did they have the mark on the knee. i want to buy two but I know my luck they will both have the mark on them.

I bought mine from Timcent. As far as I cen tell they are spot free. In anycase, it sounds like they can be washed off?

just got one from timcet ... well my mum just bought it for Christmas for me :lol mid 40's and she still buys me starwars figures or transformers :lol she bought me ht K-2SO last year :D

This is what Timcent told me "my friend, that's the packaging problem. the plastic is too close to the cloak and left marks on it. unavoidable. i've checked most of them, it's nearly impossible to find one without marks"

Sideshow probably realizes the same thing and that's why no one has gotten a resolution yet. I bet they give store credit as replacing all those robes would be impossible without HT providing replacements.

Yeah i agree, guess Timcent is saying it so if they have marks you won't try returning for another. I did specifically ask about the marks i wonder if he's warned others who have bought them today without asking about the marks.

Yeah, the issue is too widespread for a replacement. Likely a small credit if anything. But I got to say, some of these "spots" posted here are really hard to see and seem like they would wash out or 'settle' in time. Has anyone tried steaming them out?

Because its so widespread I wouldn't be surprised if SS said that "its as the manufacturer intended" and gave nothing.

I should be off to buy a lottery ticket today because I just opened my pair from Timewalker and neither has the spots. One of the helmets had some adhesive residue that I initially thought was a large scuff. It came right off with a cloth prepped with a couple drops of water.

Did warm water and scrubbed gently for a while with a soft new toothbrush, but the marks are still there (if a bit less noticeable). The spots are on the back in a similar spot as well. But I think with the folds of the cloak and normal viewing distance they're probably not an issue. I'll maybe pick up one more and see if I get a better version, but I really think it's due to the top plastic tray so it's gonna be pretty hit or miss.

Simple, yet elegant pose on that Vader!

I did, should get him today. I’ll let you know how I get on

Just checked mine from Timcent and he has 3 small marks but to be honest they are very hard to see. If I had seen the figure before buying him I still would have bought it with the spots on. The robe is very creased though.

Just heard back from sideshow, they are sending me a replacement robe for the one with a stain.

Nah don't do that, you used up this months "luck" already :)

Nothing better than seeing a potential mark on a plastic part, and water washing it off easily.......Well, perhaps one thing. Turning over a smartphone which has landed face down on the floor, and no cracks ! :yess:
