I've been expecting this guy to drop any day now. There were a lot the last weeks.

Half expect Star Wars to be up next after this current Flash figure release run. Maybe first one for 2025 ?

I only pre-ordered the trooper as I don't find big creatures or vehicles as interesting as regular figures/characters.

(Made an exception for Jabba and his throne since he's a central chatacter).

I'm a bit the opposite. I think the occasional vehicle or big creature breaks up the typical line up of humanoid figures.

Also adds a "wow" factor to the collection imo. Especially for visitors.

Agreed. Plus for me the vehicles and creatures of SW are just as important and iconic as anything else from the OT. And I was a lot more fascinated with them as a kid than any of the human characters.

I also loved the vehicles and creatures just as much as the actual characters.

Thankfully, I have a LEGO UCS SW collection for the larger craft that will never be a thing in 1/6 lol.

I’m really trying to only limit myself to ESB for my OT display myself, so I’ve skipped on 1/6 vehicles and creatures like this Dewback or the the Scout Troop w/ speeder bike. I wish Hot Toys would do their own Tauntaun w/ Hoth Luke.

The creatures are what got me into Star Wars when I was like 4 years old. I'll always have a soft spot for them. Wish I saw this one go up for presale when it did.

Part of me suspects that the reason we have yet to get a Hoth Han or Hoth Luke is because HT wants to release Tauntauns with them as well.

That I honestly think is Lucasfilm/Disney approval. (Which might be related to Hoth Han as well.) I was listening to a podcast recently with a video game developer who worked on a Marvel game, and they said that working with Disney for approvals was an absolute nightmare.

It's been 10 years between ANH Han and RotJ Han. I can't imagine Hot Toys willingly going that long in-between versions of one of the most popular Star Wars characters.

I get the 40th anniversary thing (which HT seems to go along with sometimes, but other times not much at all) but the existence of the Han Endor pretty much proves that HT is either restricted in some way re Han figs or just blissfully out of touch with what collectors want.

In a potential collector poll of Han Bespin, Han Hoth and Han Endor, it would be 45% each for the first two and 10% for the third.

I legitimately think that it took them 10 years to get approval for a head sculpt.

The AHN Han had the entire headsculpt changed at the last minute. It was so last minute that the box art still features the original sculpt. And there hasn't been a young Harrison Ford sculpt since. (But there have been old Han and Old Indy sculpts.)

Yeah, I'm also pretty disappointed there. I would have definitely been down for an OG Indy. That would sell like hotcakes if they got the sculpt right.

I couldn't wait so am awaiting my Inbox studio Taun Taun. Currently on the way, and seems to have got caught up in the Xmas package rush.

But I don't think Hot Toys will be able to do any better imo. In fact I expect a Hot Toys version would be sculpted fur.

I'd probably still get a Hoth Luke, as much as I dislike Mark Hamill and all his political bs !
