I don't know why you all complain about the Sideshow Hoth sculpts. I think they look perfect as long as you pose them the right way...like obscured by the Inbox Tauntauns!

Yes, like the rest of the basement, they're recessed into the wall. The benefit of starting with an unfinished basement and about 10 months of planning while the house was being built. The Dewback is going to have to fit up on the ANH shelf, so some of those figures are going to have to go back to the Detolf. I'll try to take some updated collection photos this weekend and post an update on my thread. Thanks!

Received my single trooper today. It's a little shorter than MMS295. Weathering is beautiful, big improvement. Borrowing the E-11 blaster from the prior release.

Went for the classic "look sir, a c**k ring" pose.

Dewback/trooper set on order too. Hoping someone will be braver than me and try Cape Cod cloth to see if some of the more distinctive weathering can be removed a bit so I can slap a black pauldron on this extra one.

Sorry for delay, here's a few snaps. Fortunately I have the case opened for Dewback paint/fur tweaks before the HT Dewback arrives (which I assume will be months based on the slowness of this thread....)

And Tauntaun is going next to Dewey so Hoth invasion has begun.

The weathering paint apps are so much better than the older orange HT trooper, which itself was a nice upgrade on the old SSC sandies.
The new paint actually hides some of the HT sandie helmet sculpt issues.

The pics are pretty out of date, aside from the life size Boba Fett pics that are toward the end of the thread. I'll get some updates out there soon. A lot has changed!

Interesting. If the SS hadn't gone with the SE legs I may have preferred it, but as it stands I think the HT one is better now. Better colors. Fur. The head on the SS I still like though.

I miss the SS one that I sold several years ago but agree that the HT is slightly better. Looking forward to finding space for this beast!

Hot Toys colouring and paint is clearly at a higher level.

But either way I don't really care too much with comparisons. Always wanted the SS version, but don't have it. So it's Hot Toys or nothing.

Am looking forward to Jedha's review though.

I do wish HT used lighter fur on that Dewback instead of that mossy green.
