It would make for good marketing sense but I wouldn't bet on it. R5 might be the only new pre-order that day.

Anyway, as a new pre-order they won't be eligible for coupons or special promo discount codes.

It's all about shipping dates for Sideshow and Hot Toys - you can order any time. The reveals, including listings of accessories and more photos plus pricing is the only reason to care about pre-order dates.

Well just look at Rocket from HT at 159$ that is much. So SS as i have been aware of may sell 2 pack of jawas on about 150$. Either way SS is more resonable than HT on price....

If they do an R2 and/or C3PO, i hope they are metal. The SS one is ok. Just feels very flimsy. Compared to the Tamashi, i'm betting the SS C3PO will be flimsy too.

Assuming they keep on with the license, they'll more than likely do both R2 and 3PO - I just wouldn't expect them for at least another 18 months or so - and I won't place any bets on which version we'll see nor what they'll be made of.
