Sold my Sideshow trio of Sandies and bought a second Hot Toys Sandtrooper - still waiting for the white and black pauldron ones too:

Sorry about the PMing issue, not sure what happened there. Definitely tried to make it work out. No intentional effort to delay or ignore. I think there might have been an issue of trying to send two emails within 15 seconds and I didn't realize I might not have responded. Hard to keep track, I am super buried with inquiries about Jawa's and robes.

If you have a Shadow Trooper the black pauldron is an easy switch. That's what I've done with mine. I've converted my Shadow Trooper into a Battlefront set up.

Nice shot jkno:clap..i'm still hoping to pick one up..

Go for it, it's a great figure.

No Shadow Trooper for me. I discussed about buying a SSC pauldron from a member here but we couldn't do an agreement. So I'll keep the orange pauldrons, there were 2 orange pauldron Sandies on Tatooine anyway so it's perfect. :)

Did you modded the weathering for one of the figures? Shouldn't they be identical? Or it's just the lighting (I'm looking at the spot on the chest, a sort of trademark for this particular trooper)?

The weathering on the 2 Sandtroopers is not identical, which is just perfect for me. The new one (with the DLT-19) has a more pronounced weathering on the chest armor

Finally convinced my girlfriend to snap a few photos of my two Sandtroopers. She did a great job and I'm really pleased with how they turned out.

Hey urdnot how did you attach the dlt to the backpack? I'm pretty sure you mentioned it somewhere here in this thread but I can't find it.

The DLT-19 really just kind of sits on the pack. The grip of the blaster has enough of a lip on the bottom that if you just set it gently on the top of the frame of the pack then it should just rest there. Just adjust the cylinder piece that clips to the side where you want to attach the DLT-19 and you should be able to get it resting on the pack just fine. Glad you guys like the pictures. Hopefully now I can convince her to take pictures of some of my Star Wars stuff a bit more often now lol.

I have a couple of questions regarding his backpack. First of all I think I have a problem with one of the long straps as it appears that it is going to snap as it is held by just a thread to the backpack and am really nervous about trying to put it on him. Just to see whether someone encountered this problem or if it is just me.

Secondly I found the instructions a bit vague with regards to attaching the backpack, does the right side long strap need to go underneath the pauldron or over it?

Don't know about the strap, pics? Is it damaged you mean?

On both my Sandies I took the pauldron off, attached the backpack and then put the pauldron back on over the strap.

Yeah will send you some pics just to be sure. Wow I really don't like fiddling with these types of expensive figures cause I always feel I am going to break something and am always nervous handling them.

They could have done something magnetic with the backpack to save the hassle with the little straps and the tiny buckles you need to pass the straps through.
