Off to the desert again next week...and of course, I'll hike out there with some figures to take some snaps of among the sand and rocks.....the scenery out there just makes them come alive...

...not to mention I love it out there! Unlike a certain whiny Sith lord in-the-making, I LOVE sand... :)

A little shocked this one is still easily available. Really is a classy figure...hope HT isn't dissuaded from releasing the white-paldroned one because this one didn't instantly sell out...

Wow that looks amazing! Even knowing it's a toy it still looks real :clap

Damn, great pic! :clap

Just further customized (swapped parts) my sandtrooper with the Rogue One pauldron and backpack. Blaster is from the Jumptrooper.

That looks great TonTon, its a shame the antenna on the backpack doesnt fit in a detolf.

:duff It seems like it almost might without the stand. I just moved it lower down and hooked it into the inside of the wine rack and it just fits while on the stand. Doesn't look as cool as when it's super tall but it's preferable to no antenna.

I have mine without, i'll give it a shot and mess with it and see if it fits in the detolf. Since i read someone on here posted that it didnt fit, i didnt even bother.

It basically had to go down to the bottom of the backpack. The L part is hooked in there. Not ideal as the other part is visible but on the shelf it just blends in with the straps.

That doesnt look too bad, the bottom part of the antenna does look a bit out of place but thats not bad.

And I WONDER who got the parted out Jedha backpack on TA?:gah::lol

Looks awesome!:clap

I actually went the opposite route and bought the 2-pack. I wanted too many parts and was worried the pack would be too much, plus didn't want to have to scramble to get the loose parts and hem-haw over the price while they all sold out. :lol

I vaguely wanted to check the RO stormies out in person but was sure I wouldn't like them. And I was correct.

They do have an ill-fitting realism to them in a way but can't get over some of the proportions.

Now there's a place I've never been.:lol:gah:

Yeah, I agree but there's something about the orange pauldron/winerackpack version that I really like.

Obviously some of the issues are to do with the design choices the crew made on RO, but some of it is HT not quite nailing the look (just as they didn't nail the ANH helmet.) The RO stormies do look a touch wonky onscreen in places - I was actually specially watching for that last time I saw RO (that, and also reconfirming Walrusman looks NOTHING like he does in ANH) - but the HT versions are more wonky. The helmet especially I don't mind onscreen, but the HT version looks too rounded.

Based on that shot, you should have your girlfriend take pictures of other figures and post them in their respective threads.
