Woo-Hoo! Just got a loose Sany for a decent price. The last one I need for the OT detachment. Now I can use the old Sideshow sandy I've had on my Dewback as a base for a custom Dengar.

Bought this guy second hand, hard to beat this one as a trooper variant I reckon. Guns and accessories are great. TK-14057 is the one I reckon looks as good, thought don’t have him..yet.

Did anyone swap body for this guy? My Sandtrooper has such loose pegs, he can barely stand on his own. I would like to know if it is possible to give him a new body.

Reinforce pegs with nail polish, or introduce piece of paper in sockets. No need for new body.

Oldie but goodie. Was bored today so thought I'd share some pics. I have two of these and like to strip the second down to the basics to be more of a weathered standard trooper. Hope you like.

I wanted to make the backpack magnetic and couldn't find much information on how to do it so here's what I did in case anyone else is curious.

I removed the top box of the backpack, the glue is not strong. Drilled a whole directly under the box to insert earth magnets (I used 20x10x2mm ones)

Stacked them into 2 stacks of 4 side by side for a good amount of magnetic force

I placed 3 magnets, 2 laying on top of each other, one side by side on the other side of this box to secure the big stack of magnets and be able to move them around. I also glued the two magnets laying one on top of the other to each other to prevent them from sliding. I didn't glue anything to the plastic box.

Side view looked like this

I inserted two stacks of magnets side by side under the armor it's just held with tape so I can easily adjust them

Test fitted, I can see it sat straight on the back

I glued the frame back on to the box

Because there is a hole on the stormtrooper back and the elevation is different, I needed something to stop the magnets from siding. I used a button cell battery of 6mm in diameter and glued it on to the bottom magnet to act as a peg. The battery is metal so it conducts magnet force

Everything put together, work fine, can be easily snapped on and slid off

Able to strike leaning poses without having to worry about the backpack being affected by gravity

Thanks for reviving the thread. Part of the first iteration batch of the stormtrooper by Hot Toys - still my favorite trooper to date. So happy we get to see it revisited again in the shape of a sergeant. Only need to add E-11 some blasters.

But didn't the original backpacks have visible straps?

Yes I didn’t remove the straps, they are still there and look the same as before. They are just decorative now. I felt they were a bit flimsy when they were the only things holding the backpack on.
