That’s a myth.
They were together in the coffee shop scene

I guess I stand corrected. I'm curious exactly how this myth came to be? I swear I saw a clip of one of the crew stating this and explaining how they shot the scenes with the two separately?

I think you really need to see the video to appreciate what he's done!

Seamless that moves and looks so natural it's unreal + hands move seamless and fingers too, insane work companies could start using this to add the extra level. The eye are also put in separate 1:6 eyes, if you have chance to see the video watch it because it's mind blowing!

They were together for the coffee shop and airport scenes.

Man the airport scene is epic, one of the best endings of a film ever.
It’s meant to be coming out on 4K soon can’t wait for that

They shot it with 3 cameras, over the shoulder for both actors and one for profiles that they never used.
I think that’s how the myth started because the whole scene in the film plays out from the over the shoulder perspectives.
They never rehearsed that scene either and most of what is in the film is from the one take.
Michael Mann’s an amazing director.
Christopher Nolan hosted a academy panel with all the cast and director for the film last year, pretty sure there’s a video on YouTube of it.
It’s definitely worth a watch

His audio commentary on the film is epic. Same for Collateral.

The only thing that makes me doubt that is Pacino has only ever allowed his likeness for Scarface. If they got it for Heat it would be a game changer. But fans would riot if they didn't make De Niro too, and that will definitely not happen.

What about Carlito's Way?

Outstanding sculpt. One of my personal favorite movies. Love the musical score to the movie, Moby’s ending reprise tracks are phenomenal. Oh and some great waaahoo waaa gifs from the movie too.

Incredible! This is exactly the type of stuff that should be coming out from companies like Hot Toys - the prices are increasing but not the innovations.

Any guesses as to what type of material that's cast in?

I’ve been thinking bout it since last night, I guess it’s some sort of rubber like material. Which explains the poseable /stretchable neck and the glass eyes.

why no a-dev in this thread yet???
i'd fully support everything he could possibly say about this idea.

it looks to hold really good detail, which makes me wonder the type of material. Maybe a thinner version of what HT uses for their chest pieces. Very, very cool.

If you know the history of these silly little high end dolls dating back to like 08 or 09 Kojun changed the game with a Heat Pacino figure. Nothing, especially the custom part of the hobby was ever the same again. So it’s not surprising that the same innovators from the beginning are changing the game again. Things plateaued back in maybe 2012 I think so it’s nice to see some new technologies being developed

This kind of tech will take HT awhile to adopt. Will have to be on a very special figure.

And yes, perhaps a new DX...

Jack Sparrow, Indiana Jones and even Terminator would all benefit from this kind of neck.

I saw people talking about a seamless neck but it didn't dawn on me that it's poseable.

Obviously yes that's something I'd be interested in. Seems to look great on this Pacino. Arnie figures would benefit from such a thing massively. Ugly, unnatural necks and compromised jaw-lines can really hurt realism and likenesses

I mentioned that in my first post. I'm allowed to make mistakes.

Of course you are allowed to make mistakes... as I'm allowed to ask for clarification. :monkey3

To be honest, I had not known that Blitzway actually released that Carlito's Way figure. How did I miss that? I guess my head was buried in the sea of Star Wars and Marvel releases from Hot Toys. :monkey4
