1/6 Hot Toys Sith Trooper – Early Release Edition

Don't care if it's Poe or Luke first, I just want to see what a HT X-Wing pilot figure looks like.

Also, wouldn't a 'Sith' trooper just be regular Stormtroopers?

Exactly. These guys don't have much credibility. They enter a thread of a figure they claim to have no interest in getting and desperately with ridiculous criticism of it.

The colors bug me less than the resemblance to the First Order armor. If these are meant to be Palpatine loyalists then they have been separated by great distance for decades. The First Order and Empire remnant troopers would have very different looking helmets and armor (more than just colors).

Agreed. That's the issue right there. ****ing lazy half arsed writing/costume design. This sort of thing doesn't help endear the sequel trilogy to anyone. It would've made more sense to use an army of Praetorian Guards.

EDIT: Not bashing this figure, as I think it's alright. I'd consider it at a discounted price.

I share the same sentiment. The people who are in charge of making these movies are clearly way beyond morons...they're just simply psychologically disfunctional, bunch of nincompoops, and utterly ungracious to Lucas's legacy

Yup. In Star Wars if it's red then it's bad, so if we make a stormtrooper red that makes it double bad!

Would've been a good chance to show off some kind of proto-FO stormtrooper. Actually think it would have been cool (and made more sense kind of) if these guys were the regular FO troopers and the current crop were the missing link in between. But then again we still don't know what the FO is, where they came from and what their motivations are.

I really need one of these guys on my shelf. Wish he was ready to release with the 6" BS version next week.

I have 25USD discount coupon at SSC. I am undecided between this, Yoda and R2-D2.
Yoda's price is considered high by the community, so I think it will be on the shelves quite sometime. Besides, I realized that Yoda's costume is different in ROTS so in case this is sold out, a ROTS version may be produced.
R2-D2 seems to be the ultimate R2. So I don't want to miss it.
Regarding this, I am undecided to order just because they may release a deluxe in the future.

Does Popcultcha get other exclusives? I'm wondering if it's just acting as a an exclusive without the exclusive title since it's exactly the same as the SDCC release.

This has not been available to any US vendors, so it is essentially an exclusive.

Possible. It's on LCDN also, but still at a higher price compared to other HT figures.
Also I realized that it carries "Exclusive Version" tag under its picture in HT website. My logic says if there's exclusive version, then there may be a nonexclusive version. And it may come with more accessories. This is the advance release version after all.

Must be on a case to case basis. The Sith Trooper is up but the Movie Promo Edition Spider-Man wasn't.

Edit: To clarify, the normal release is up for pre-order, not the Early Release one.
