Black and white photos really capture the strengths in those portraits, as they negate the paint issue completely. Nice shots!

At last....I have forgone all other Lukes in anticipation of the Hot Toys Snowspeeder Luke.
Hoping for a PO opportunity within 6 months
The prototype for this looks pretty good, but I?m personally happy with the SS one on my shelf. If HT makes a new head sculpt and refines a few things on the release, I may upgrade.
While the unhelmeted head on the SS is pretty bad, the helmeted version looks great ( same goes for x-wing Luke)

I think this Hot Toys proto must just be a place holder to show there intentions. If it?s not then this is one of the rare cases where the SS production figure wins hands down.
They'll want the hat trick after spanking HT with their Darth Maul and Jawas.
Maybe they just needed a quick option for the display. They surely couldn't think people would be happy about using one of the most maligned bases ever put out? Surely........
They already have snowy bases from the Snowtrooper and Mando has a sandy version so this may be what he'll come with
Proto-Fight! Proto-Fight!
It happens, late at night, in the HT basement. First rule of Proto Fight Club?
Surely they wouldn't use something so cheapo on a $270 release, especially when they have molds from the Rey/BB8 base...
You'd think they'd have a few hundred of those snowtrooper bases sitting around for use with the Luke figure, wouldn't you?
If I remember correctly, wicket had a different base last year at sdcc. It was switched when he went up for preorder.
Hopefully that is the case here.
