This always confused me until I watched this gif. At first it always looked sinister to me, which I knew it wasn’t, but looks that way when you watch it in ESB. Now, I can totally tell that he’s realizing a bad storm is brewing, and he knows they’re all in deep trouble. Thanks for this!
I feel that the overall theme of ESB was pure emotional for each main core character . Luke the hero from ANH had to humble himself and started to realize he had to face his fears and grow as a person mentally to become a Jedi. For Han, he fell for Leia from the start..he really loved her but he didn’t want to be weak in her eyes so he just acted like he didn’t care so much . For Leia , she was raised to be strong willed and in charge so when someone like Han knew it’s okay for her to like someone and be a woman with needs , she had to break down her walls in order to be with someone to trust and really care about and be happy with in life.

So this is a symbolic moment was Han admitting that things could go wrong and showing fear is just part of being human and not a sign of weakness. which is what Harrison was thinking all along that Han should’ve died in the sequel because he felt Han’s character reached his peak and there wasn’t more he could add to the direction of the saga.

The layers that went deep with each of the fab trio was really peeled that although the plot called for the dark times for the rebellion it was a chapter were a person’s character needed to change within themselves and adapt in order to grow and rely on each other to survive and not to ever give up hope if the circumstances are truly against them.

IMO I think that’s why ESB was the best directed of the entire franchise saga because it wasn’t about the basic plot but the inner plot that a person must face in life when things don’t always go your way and it’s okay to admit failure to learn and grow from it

Kersh was probably the only Star Wars director who wasn’t a visual stylist. He was an actors director. I’ve always felt it was him, Kasdan and Peter Suschitzky who elevated the material.
:exactly: We saw in ANH the introduction to Lucas world of the cinema with visuals and gadgets of a sci Fi fictional galaxy ..now let’s take it deeper and see what these actors can really bring to the characters while showcasing their souls to what happens in life and what needs to challenge a person to standout and be remembered

Man this makes the Sideshow one look extremely bad, despite it being so high regarded.

The only thing I prefer on the Sideshow one looking at these pics is the chin strap, the chest box and the boots. Just not a big fan of the pleather materials. I love the rubber boots on my SSC Hoth Han, they look fantastic.

I don't know how it'll feel in hand, but in pictures the chest box looks *massive*. Way thicker than it should be imo.
There's quite a bit off with this HT version (grappling gun, grenade, helmet details, webbing straps width, flares bandolier, incorrect blaster) but fortunately it's all pretty minor/nitpicky type stuff.

The SSC had a somewhat longer list of inaccuracies/issues, and this fig looks better right out of the box.

It's a bummer that HT simply included the same blaster as the DX07 because the only blaster Luke uses in this snowspeeder outfit is the "Muppet Show" blaster (during Dagobah arrival,) which has quite a lot of differences to the standard Bespin blaster.

At one of the shows, HT displayed a Muppet Show blaster proto beside this fig, which a few people on here noticed, but then it suddenly switched to the standard Bespin-style blaster, which is what the figure ultimately came with.

It's a minor thing for sure, but would have been very cool to have the correct (and rare - this blaster is only seen once in ESB, in the Dagobah arrival scene) variant for this outfit. Not sure why they would have produced a proto but not used it.

Prototype is in use, it’s displayed in Howard’s collection!

I've just watched the Justin Collection (or whatever it's called on YouTube) review if this figure. Is that really his voice? It's so monotone. I don't remember him sounding like that on previous reviews. Is it actually him or someone doing an impersonation?

When he started he spoke way tooooo fast so what he did and I think for the better is he just speaks slow and super meticulous.

Like really really long drawn out syllables lol

He’s ok I enjoy his channel.

I just need my Wor-Gar channel :gah:

Praise be to the gods of ankle articulation, boys, this thing is incredible.
