A couple more observations now I've had time with it.
There seems to be a padded under suit beneath the clothes and armour. I quite like this, it gives the impression of flesh under the clothes. I haven't stripped it down but I think it's the thinner trooper body under there.
If I had one nitpick it's that the helmet feels like it sits a little high. There's a foam ring around the neck peg which doesn't really do anything. Maybe removing that and using a shorter neck peg might help.

One more thing. The suede'ish fabric of the skirt is really nice and what Bespin Luke's outfit should have been made from.

My Death Trooper Specialist has the same foam ring around the neck peg. The ring makes the head pop off kind of easily, because the head can't fully seat onto the neck peg due to the ring.

^^That's the best explanation. It does hinder articulation a bit so I usually take them off.

Yeah same as!! I've already ordered the double pack of these but seeing these pics has just made me order another single! My thoughts were, "Well I'm not going to get the Snowtrooper Commander so I might as well get another grunt"

Just the tall one had it. Don't think there's enough space on the peg for the short one.

Did HTs confirm they weren't doing the commander or we just assuming their gonna pull a Hot Toys?

With Sideshow announcing theirs it's assumed that they won't release the same figure at the same time. Hot Toys' commander has been MIA, was just briefly shown at that one show.
