Were you able to remove some of the black marks? It's mainly that black line on the helmet and some of the other more distinctive black lines on other armor pieces I'd like to get rid of if possible.
Sorry for the late reply. I actually didn't mess with any of those black scrape marks. I just tried it on the brown muck areas. But it's worth a shot with the alcohol, since it won't damage the plastic at all.

Anyone have a slight issue with the vinyl covering? where the inside of the eye piece is causing slight wear to the vinyl material?

Not one quite that prominent. You should try and use a hair dryer to soften the material up. That has helped with mine out slightly. Although, you might end up loosening the glue inside the helmet that holds one part of the fabric to the other. This happened a little bit on mine but I didn't even need to apply any more glue.

I finally opened mine. Wobbly base of course.
I could not eliminate the wob though:(

Finally got around to opening this guy. Really happy with this one.

Quick question, do you guys remove the neck foam padding? Never understood it's purpose but I usually just leave it alone. However, with this guy his helm kept popping off. So I just removed the padding. Just making sure it's not something I should leave on.

I think it's meant to be a fake head/neck in a way. Might prevent unnatural looking poses. But if it's making the head pop up then do away with it. I know some of my Stormtroopers had similar neck foam things that either stayed or went. Usually more range of motion without.

Cool, thanks.

I know this isn't the best time since SDCC mayhem is still happening but does anyone have ideas on a body that might work for this? I'd like to have the regular Snowtrooper be my short one (I think it's the same size as the short stormtrooper) and then figure out a way to have a slightly taller trooper with different proportions. I'll have to remove the lower legs since they have that specific ball joint.

Can someone tell me how to futz the back of the hood/helmet?
Is it tucked in or out - over the shoulders?

Just got one of my 2-packs open and gotta say I'm mighty impressed! I wasn't at first because the fabric appeared really dark, but this fabric is an odd one. It really looks differently in different lighting conditions. I thought the variation we're seeing in pics was just how the camera was picking it up, but it has that effect in person too. In the right lighting conditions it looks very much like the proto pics, and not the darker taupey/tanish color we see in some shots.

I'd be interested to know how that goes. I was considering removing the padding too. Just not sure how the fabric hangs when there is nothing behind it.

Looks like there's no real need to remove it because the pants are pretty easily futzed. If you just kinda hike them down a bit from behind the cod piece, pinch and stretch here and there and futz them toward the front, they will look a looser and not as taut as they are straight out of the box.

I'd post pics but Photobucket screwed us

It's pretty easy to post straight to the forum now. Either through the little image icon or with tapatalk. Just be careful your images don't show up sideways. I usually do some kind of minor crop on vertical images to get them to orient correctly.
