Just FYI, I used the toothpaste trick on my HT Stormtrooper helmet and it worked great. There were two black spots that were most obvious, in the paint. They appeared to be debris that landed in the paint. Members here suggested buffing with a small amount of tooth paste. In my case I used ProNamel (I drank a lot of acidic drinks as a kid) and both spots disappeared after a few seconds of buffing. I then rinsed the helmet with water and buffed the spot a bit more to bring back the shine and it turned out perfect.

I opened this 2-pack last night finally. Pretty much perfect. They rock. I'll grab a pic of my current set up in daylight. I love them so much I'd be grabbing another set if I didn't already have a Spacetrooper on order. Still might, but as it is I'm running out of display space so I will probably ease up a bit and rein it in for now. Especially with Han, Chewie, Obi-Wan, and 3PO still to come, Leia still to order, and maybe one more Luke to order.

Scout and Speeder arrive next week too.

Never realized how off Luke's height really was until I set him up with the Stormies here as I always only had him with Vader and the Emperor. He's as tall or even a tad taller than the tall Stormie.

Great set-up. Yeah, when I opened up Luke after having the Stormies and the Hoth set-up already I was surprised how long he seemed.

that Luke height helps posing him close to Vader, but does make the small trooper look way too small. Geez, even the tall one.

Toothpaste works!
I had a few small black scuffs. Put a tiny bit on a makeup remover pad and used the courser side. Came out pretty easy! Just cleaned with water and dried after.

Three questions from someone who missed out on picking up a Stormtrooper.... (I apologize if these have been asked and answered already)

First, when you buy just one trooper, it's the tall one right? I don't want the short one.

Second, I saw a few posts about some coming with the paint chipped. I'm anxious about ordering an aftermarket one and being stuck with a flaw like this because I wouldn't be able to go back to Sideshow and ask for a replacement because I didn't buy it from them. Is a paint chip problem common, how concerned should I be when picking up on the second hand market?

Third, What are the chances of a re-release of the regular Stormtooper from HT? I'll just wait if I think its reasonable there will be another batch.

Other thoughts: I'm watching the Luke Stormtrooper to see if there is a way to display with the helmet "on/swapped on". He'll be short too, but at least I'll know it's because it's really Luke. Also, I am hoping they put out a Stormtropper Han too; a helmet on version of that one would be perfect.

^1. Yes, Tall one.
2. My single was perfect except for a very tiny hair trapped under the clearcoat on his belt.
3. I dont foresee another re-release. You could pick up the Spacetrooper, or Sandy. Ive also seen the Stormie on ebay for just a tad bit more than retail.
Id act fast.
4. No one knows for sure. This is open to debate at the moment.

1. You get the tall one as a single trooper indeed.

2. Didn't have any issues regarding paint apps with my 3 Stormies. Though I did have unglued parts on my single, but they were easy fix. But I guess all depends on luck.

3. I have a hunch HT will make Stormtroopers again some day, but not sure if exactly like these - they could go ANH Stunt, ESB or even ROTJ. Only time will tell. So get your trooper till not too late.

4. Han as Stormie will come in time too, HT would be crazy not to make him.

Yeah, I panicked because I only got one initially, ordered another because they do seem to be drying up. Makes sense they'd make them again, but you never know.

Really never loved the shorter version, so got two talls. I'm probably getting Luke stormie so that will be my shortie.

I still haven't managed to procure a single. First I ordered from loontentoys, and that didn't happen, so when I got my money back I ordered locally since that was more of a sure thing. Now they seem to have flaked out on me.

I too missed out on getting the Stormtrooper figure when it was readily available. Now I can get one for $260. My question to all you fellow members is if that is too much to pay or will HT release more of the ANH trooper in the upcoming months where I can pay $200 instead.

In thinking about whether buying it as far as I know, HT has never gone back into production when their full shipments have been exhausted. I am pretty sure that they will go back and do either a battle damaged one or an ROTJ version at least but the ANH one is my favorite.
