I thought that might be but I wasn't aware that the 1/4 scale figures came with different hands and three different blasters.

Just in case, sorry if you know this already: These are fully articulated figures, just like the 1/6, but in 1/4. Not to be confused with other 1/4 products like Sideshow's "Premium Format" which are mixed-media statues. So they'll come with the same types of extras as other action figures.

Prequel Vader is such an odd choice, why not OT?

It's supposed to be Return of the Jedi Vader according to Con info and the preview at SSC's site.

That is great news, I remember chatter here on the forum that it was going to be rots Vader. Did hot toys change their mind, or were the initial reports incorrect?

Isn't the chest armor and chest box the ROTS version though?

Given how off the ANH helmet is, the helmet on the 1/4 scale can't really be used as evidence of anything. :lol

I haven't looked closely enough and it's anyone's guess whether anyone at HT knows the difference. ;) But "RotJ" was the info passed around in July and what's still written under the photo at SSC.

I don't remember there being any official word one way or the other but just seemed it was a given it was ROTS based on all the details. I don't recall anything to the contrary from that Vader thread. Sure you didn't see the ROTJ on the SS premium format?

Nope, didn't know that :) Thanks.

Could be. Or it could be a screw up on HT's part. I know which one I put more stake in. ;)

It'd be a pretty major screw up to produce parts for a Vader from the wrong movie vs what basically could amount to a typo. Would be pretty hilarious if they tried to pass that figure off unchanged as a ROTJ Vader.

Right now the the bbts 2 pack is a great "deal". I'm surprised it is still available to be honest. Its been about the only way you can go to get stormies at retail for a good while now. They must have/had a massive stock of them.
