Those all started as stock 501st troopers. Waiting on Rex to ship before I finish the weathering on the rest of the crew.

I was going to start on a Jesse next, but with the ARC version now ordered I might skip it.

Thanks for the compliments, what started as ordering a couple 501st to go with Rex kinda turned into a passion project to make the clones I didn’t think HTs would make.

Just now got my Rex cracked open and he is a really great figure. Nice sculpt and weathering, the slight difference in hue from the 501st doesn't bother me as much as I thought it might. Apparently a bargain figure now too based on the recent clone drops. The only two things that really irked me are the lack of a proper relaxed right hand and again with that stupid flight pole base.

Since I’ve only seen about three episodes of the Clone Wars cartoon I’m not really familiar with the character.

Is there any real, defining moment or memorable moment in the series that would make a good environment style display stand for Rex?

The whole Umbara story arc is probably Rex's time to shine. But his defining moment, in my opinion, was when he killed a slaver on Ryloth who said a Jedi wouldn't have killed him. Rex said "I'm not Jedi" right before throwing something through his chest.

Of course, the Order 66 stuff is all time too.

There are a lot of Rex moments haha. He is the most popular and important Clone IMHO.
But I think Rex would look great with an “environment” base rather than the base he comes with. His armour is so dirtied that I think he’d pop on a sand or forest base.

Rex has a ton of great moments, Umbara stands out, but some would argue that the Umbara arc is as much a Rex arc, as it is a Fives arc. An Umbara display stand would be pretty amazing though, has a bit of the planet Felucia in it as well.

I'd recommend the series if you get the chance, has a rough start but the last few seasons have some of the best Star Wars moments since the OT. The 4 part series finale is my favorite piece of Star Wars after Empire Strikes Back.

Thanks for the recommendations! Umbara might be the one to do then. I recently had somebody ask if I’d done an Umbara stand and I had no idea what he was talking about.

There are probably people out there who bought multiple 501st that would put their extra helmets to use and do this as a backdrop for Ahsoka and Rex.
