There have been a lot of great lines this year, but one stands out for me - Terminator Salvation from Hot Toys. They've hit us up with 4 distinct characters in just the last few weeks, and now they've released the T-600 with 'weathered skin', a variant so unique that it's practically another character. I think this one is my favorite Endo so far, although it's a tough call - they're all kinds of awesomesauce!

You can find all the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading!

Too much of a good thing in regards to the packaging, huh? :lol

Great review. I liked the color tone you used for the photos.

As for the HT TS line, in my opinion it's the most consistent line of the year (thus far) in terms of quality and breadth.

Good review (& pics) as usual, Michael. I liked your Marcus review a lot too.

I'm with you about this line...it's been amazing. I only have JC so far, with Marcus on the way from Sideshow, but I definitely plan on picking up this masked T-600 at some point...

Thanks again for the in-depth looks...

Great review... I just got tracking for my exchanged T-600. The first one arrived with a broken arm.

One thing that is a bit unclear is the price... the retail price is only a $10 difference between regular and exclusive if buying direct from Sideshow. But I'm guessing you are referring to the $30 difference if you bought from someone else?

Getting the mask on deserved mention in the 'Things to watch out for' bit too - I didn't heat mine and snapped off his head in under 5 minutes after taking the figure out of the box.

The regular mask is a tight fit... luckily I actually prefer the look of the exclusive. For some reason the fuller mask looks kind of dopey to me :huh

Oh and not sure if it matters, but there's actually 3 versions of both the T-600 figures. For the Nekkid there is the regular, Sideshow Exclusive and Concept Version. For the Weathered there is a regular, Sideshow Exclusive and then Anicom (with a 3rd mask and beanie).

I think that's all of them; so 6 figures out of the T-600 base... not a bad bit of reuse :lol

What is this Anicon of which you speak? I need more info...

And are you calling the Laing version the 'concept version'? I have the one that actually says "concept version" on the base but that was the Sideshow exclusive...???

Yeah, I think its the Laing version;my mistake on calling it the concept. Comes with the "factory floor" base, 2 endoskulls and a different weapons set-up for the nekkid T-600.

The Anicom (I thought it was called that since it was only offered at a convention) is listed here as the "concept" version. I think he has the "Laing" weapons, and exclusive base that came with the Sideshow Exclusive non weathered T-600:

Sadly I think this guy has the coolest looking mask :monkey2 In the past a version of the Hot Toys Scar figure was released at this convention and now sells for a couple hundred more than the regular release of Scar.

Well, I just bought an Anicon. Damn you Galactiboy! I haven't bought the clean Laing yet, since Diamond is getting that one I believe and I'm hoping to find a deal.

Sorry... I hate to think now much more than the $155 you paid for the anicom version :lol

But if its any consolation I'm sure you've cost me hundreds of dollars in the past after reading your reviews... heck probably thousands as I found out about forums (like RS and SSF) from reading something on your site :lol

I'm not really a completist, I suppose, since I haven't bought the Laing version. I do like this mask better than the regular...but I'd be lying if I said I probably won't end up coughing up for the Laing too. I have completist tendencies.

Awesome review Michael. Just to let you know I used to always read your reviews to help me decide if I want to buy something or not. But this one was a must get. I've had it for about a week already and reading your review only re-certified that I've made the right choice. :D

If it weren't for the display base included with the Laing Endo I probably wouldn't give it a second glance, but the T-700 heads featured on that base have light-up LED eyes...tempting. The actual Laing T600 itself is about as ho-hum as it gets.

Anyway, congrats on your Concept T600 purchase. It looks to be the best of the lot, but I wasn't willing to cough up the scratch for it. I'm fine with my two T600s, nekkid and regular weathered.

I've considered the Laing as well... I'm good if I only get this Sideshow weathered version. But if I get a second it will be the Laing as it has so many different features (weapons and 2 extra endoskulls).

I didn't want to cough up the dough for the concept version, so I went ahead and made my own. You may notice that the BD is on the opposite side of the head..... it was done to both preserve the undamaged eye and not look like I'm trying to pass it off as the real deal. :D

Michael you should mention its possible to activate the light up eyes by just pressing on the backpack itself, if it is in the right position. :monkey1
