I love the Nolan Two-Face design, which is why I love the figure, it's not perfect, but it's a good representation of a great design, and I've looked at it on the DVD and in pictures a lot checking out the subtleties and all.
That's a good observation. Also, based on those photos, I see now what people were talking about when they said the clean/burned split shouldn't be so symmetrical.
Gotta say, I don't think this figure is one of Hot Toys' finest, which is a shame because the prototype images looked to be one of their best. I wonder if the short window between announcement and release (only 2 months) had an effect. Generally, isn't there 5-8 months between the reveal of the prototype and the final product arriving in customers' hands?
I'm still waiting for Iron Man Mark III to ship, which I pre-ordered last JuneIf you haven't also noticed, with all of HT other lines they are releasing the figures very very quickly, faster than ever. Why? I don't know, maybe they don't want people to get impatient or maybe they found a way to speed the process up.
Ah you got that too, looks quite nice, IMHO.I got a replica of two-face's coin from my Dark Knight DVD purchase. It will go well on display with this great figure.
I'm gonna get flamed for this, lol, but I'm being completely honest: after seeing those pics I seriously don't like this figure. Overall, it just looks really cheap. Almost like a Ken doll. Also, since the burned side of the head is exactly the same size as the unburned side it throws off the movie effect. imo, it wasn't so much the burns/scarring that was shocking about Two-Face, it was how thin/gaunt the burned side was. Almost like it was straight skull with minor amounts of burned skin/tendon left. When Harvey is talking to Gordon in the hospital, everytime Harvey would almost turn completey around it was jarring, because you could see something was WRONG, since you could only really see his left eye ball but not ANY part of the left side of his face. Kinda hard to explain, but that's completely absent from this sculpt.
Whatever.. I can already feel heat from the torches.
