I love the Nolan Two-Face design, which is why I love the figure, it's not perfect, but it's a good representation of a great design, and I've looked at it on the DVD and in pictures a lot checking out the subtleties and all.

That's a good observation. Also, based on those photos, I see now what people were talking about when they said the clean/burned split shouldn't be so symmetrical.

Gotta say, I don't think this figure is one of Hot Toys' finest, which is a shame because the prototype images looked to be one of their best. I wonder if the short window between announcement and release (only 2 months) had an effect. Generally, isn't there 5-8 months between the reveal of the prototype and the final product arriving in customers' hands?

I don't think it was rushed, HT is located within driving distance of their factories, so if they want their product to be released soon then can easily put the figure into production within weeks of us seeing the images.

If you haven't also noticed, with all of HT other lines they are releasing the figures very very quickly, faster than ever. Why? I don't know, maybe they don't want people to get impatient or maybe they found a way to speed the process up.

Yeah I was dissapointed when I saw the final product it looks ok but I'm thinking of canceling my order on this one and make room for the batmobile

I'm still waiting for Iron Man Mark III to ship, which I pre-ordered last June :p

Hopefully mine will show up early next week, it shipped on the 30th from HK. I do think the burnt side looks "off" and would have benefited from better texturing. All in all though it doesn't bother me too bad and can't wait to add him to the TDK display.

I got a replica of two-face's coin from my Dark Knight DVD purchase. It will go well on display with this great figure.

in agreement with some, its not their best, but at the same time, the jokers (aside from getting an accurate head sculpt) are quite simple. Two-face might be the most complicated face sculpt they've had to do for this line. Not only do they have to get the eckhart part right (easily the best likeness out of the line) but the intricacies of his scarred face requires far more detail than say, joker's scars.

So for that I can appreciate the effort, it really is a high class figure no doubt. It continues to grow on me and I continue to like him more and more. He's probably my favorite figure to look at right now aside from the V1 joker with the BR head.

Ah you got that too, looks quite nice, IMHO.

Ok i have a question for those who have him, Why does the tie/collar make it look like he was a ten foot wide neck and why have none of you tried to fix that and the puffiness of the jacket? Or is it that you cant? Cause the only thing that used to bother me about the figure is the massive thumb, but after seeing how fat the tie/collar and the jacket make him look...im seriously thinking about canceling my order. Even in Agens pics he looks really fat, and hes the master photographer.

That coin is sick, wish we got that. i got the Bluray, and even then got squat :p
BTW, in regards to the burnt side of the two face sculpt, i'm wondering why they didnt, or couldnt put a sandy texture on the black parts? That would have really completed the look. Seems quite doable, i'm sure i've seen that type of texture on at least one of their other collectables.

YAY! Finally here. Not great pics as too excited and just wanted to fire some quick ones off. INCREDIBLE figure! Once again,. pics do it no justice. Burned jacket is not too bulky for me, love the new shirt and tie material, although the collar takes loads of futzing. Great figure!

I'm gonna get flamed for this, lol, but I'm being completely honest: after seeing those pics I seriously don't like this figure. Overall, it just looks really cheap. Almost like a Ken doll. Also, since the burned side of the head is exactly the same size as the unburned side it throws off the movie effect. imo, it wasn't so much the burns/scarring that was shocking about Two-Face, it was how thin/gaunt the burned side was. Almost like it was straight skull with minor amounts of burned skin/tendon left. When Harvey is talking to Gordon in the hospital, everytime Harvey would almost turn completey around it was jarring, because you could see something was WRONG, since you could only really see his left eye ball but not ANY part of the left side of his face. Kinda hard to explain, but that's completely absent from this sculpt.

Whatever.. I can already feel heat from the torches. :D

What? the burned side is indeed thinner than the unburned one. It's obviously noticeable. If anything, it's the expression that's missing on this figure. It doesn't seem to capture any emotion whatsoever, whereas in the movie, two-face always look furious and full of vengeance. This sculpt looks like he's content (might as well make him shut his eyes, so that we have a dead two-face head sculpt).

Yeah I mentioned this in one of my posts awhile back (when people were just starting to receive them). It just doesn't look good at all, I agree.

For me the sculpt looks great (albeit lacking in emotion, yes). It's the suit that causes me concern, especially in Snake's pics. I'm glad he pointed out that the pics were hasty, which makes me guess (or, more accurately, hope) that a bit of fine-tuning will improve the overall appearance of the figure.

hmph. that gun looks like a water pistol. Why in the world did they change the color... It looks like chrome on the prototype, right?
