Yeah well for a guy who displays all his boxes behind each figure the BR Joker box was a let down for me.

Anyone have a Two Face they wanna sell?

I think in general HT sucks when it comes to box art. And the funny thing is, it has nothing to do with actual art design. It has to do with the completely odd decision by HT to consistently release finished figures in boxes covered by prototype pics which usually NEVER look like the figure you're getting. For better or for worse. Like for instance, I think most people agree, the TDK Batman was for the most part significantly improved from Proto to finished product. Yet ALL the artwork on the TDK Batman box has the inferior Proto pics.



And in some cases the differences are so jarring, it's laughable to think HT has no problem with it. Borg, Wolf and P2 come to mind because HT drastically changed the paint schemes for all three of those figures yet the box art reflects the prototypes. Which have different colors.

I wouldn't agree that prototypes look radically different, especially in TDK line, but I guess that's just a matter of opinion. But it makes sense that they would use the prototypes for box art - they'd have to sit on large amounts of the final figures while they then photographed them, designed the box art and produced the boxes - it doesn't make sense from a production/process point of view.

Well it depends on how long the boxes take to print and Hot Toys' production process.

I know Sideshow receives production samples of their figures and approve a final one as what's going to roll out of the factory. HT has to have a model that they rework to be the basis for production, so you could theoretically shoot that piece for the box art.

Most of the time Hot Toys box photos reflect the product inside, some cases like TDK suit Batman, no, there's quite a difference, but even Sideshow's the same and Gentle Giant. HT's ok more often than not because they have great proto-production matching, or if anything, the production is usually an improvement on the proto.

I've actually been thinking about selling mine, it's definitely a cool piece but my display is getting a little cramped. Everything is in excellent condition, I never even opened the little pouch holding the coin and button.

YES! The mailman came today and I went outside expecting to pick up my Toy Biz Ringwraith, but their was a second box and guess what was in it:

I had pre-ordered the TDK Batman off of Ebay back in November and it got pushed back to 2nd Quarter so I went ahead and bought another one with the intent of eventually selling the one I got off Ebay. The other day I emailed the seller asking if they knew when Batman would be in and he offered to switch my pre-order for Two-Face. Since they were getting their stuff off of DCD I thought that Two-Face would be coming in June, but I guess they somehow had it in stock.

awesome pics - are you still considering offering your tweaking / repaint services on the TwoFace heads?? Still really want that!! I couldn't hold out on the DC Direct shipment of this guy and caved and bought another on ebay...now my 2nd one will get displayed as Harvey...

Besides paint, did you do anything else to the head?

Ya, I added sculpt material to fill in some of the deeper cuts and close in the eye socket more.

SO here's my custom upgraded two face!
First i resculpted the eye socket and repaint the burnt face and i add some real hair!
The suit is a dragon suit using burnt amber for the left part!
