I wish we can have side profile images of this. And yeah, the jacket lapels are huge, so are the size of his legs and overall the fit is too chubby...

Also, the glasses to me always looked like they have a weird girly shape to them, way too pointy and round? Anyone can correct me on this?

I wish they put more effort in body proportions, from the images shared, not really pleased with the overall look :'(

Agreed with all you guys. Everything save for the portrait honestly reminds me of the MMS117, a 16 year old figure...

To illustrate what others have said, here a quick side by side with two shots. Proportions are completely out of wack, and those lapels are some sort of '70s discro style on HT.

This is why I want an InArt T-800. At least they would try to match the proportions.

Lots of things that are off with this one…

I’m still picking it up though :gah: As is, this is disappointing, I hope they improve it….

Perhaps it’ll be a placeholder for me until StudioCanal gives INART the approval to do Terminator. Hoping it’s the T1 Police Shootout look first.

It hasn't gone up for order yet, so always room for improvements before we get official solicitation shots, hopefully.

One thing not helping the lapel look is how open the jacket is.

Since MMS117, HT has struggled with this part. A lot of us here at Freaks used paperclips and wire tucked under the lapels to force the collar and front of the coat to come in closer around his neck and chest and be more accurate. I'm sure a similar trick would help here, but as the custom recently shared here shows, some tailoring effort could get it to look right without tricks.

Looks miles off going by those pics. I'd have a lot more confidence in InArt getting the proportions right than Hot Toys.

I'll get it but it's shaping up to be another pros & cons figure like all before it. While they've improved in the detailing of their sculpts they don't seem to have any better a handle on his actual likeness than they did over 10 years ago. The shape of his face/head is always wrong if not from one angle then from another. They're also persisting with a separated head and neck which does the likeness and realism no favours.

You guys have discussed the issue with jacket - it's always either too open on the front (MMS117) or too closed (that custom and DX10 as I recall) but if I had to pick the lesser of these 'evils' it'd be the too open option because we know we can fix that with the paperclip in the collar trick. When the jacket is too closed you're kinda stuck with that - which is why I used MMS117 jackets on all my T2 T-800s. They also had better stock weathering than the DX10 jackets.

I have a feeling the lapels can be made to look smaller by sewing down the corners/points more inward which would also then reduce the width of the opening of the jacket. I did something similar with my DX10, but to open it up and reveal more of the lapels.

That said, I’m sure I’m out on the HT figures since I have the Prime1 statue on order.

The separate neck and head is infuriating.

Sad thing is if I don't get this I may as well cancel my T-1000 and that figure looks phenomenal. No point having him on his own.

I don't think I'll bite. This is not a version of the character I'm just gonna settle for whatever they give me.

Which for me, the entire line is banking on this figure. I won't invest in any of it without this one being done properly.

As it stands, I've absolutely no interest in this line now. They need to fix this.

I've got the new battle damaged T800 on order, plan on getting T1000, but this one I'm on the fence, not really doing anything for me. It does need more work. The head sculpt is okay but reminds me of the HT police shootout Terminator from T1 which isn't good.
Sometimes I think these Sideshow previews don't do a figure any favors, it's like watching QVC.
