I worked on the movie and can tell you this first hand.

There were different versions of the same boots used yes, but not for the reasons you are mentioning.

The primary differences I noticed were the running boots which were modified for better grip and safety. All the boots Brandon wore were the same type of boot, but had different appearance due to whatever alterations were made.

After Brandon was killed and Dream Quest Images was employed to morph Brandon's face into the body double they were given a couple complete costumes for reference. The costume came with a couple different versions of boots, tops and jacket. All outfits were worn by Brandon and each was slightly different depending on use which lended to some obvious discrepancies.

The movie was made on a low budget so continuity sometimes took a back seat. On a side note. When a dream Quest was done with all the reference materials (wardrobe, storyboards, scripts, and photos) they tossed them in the dumpster. I fished them all out, kept one complete outfit and sold off the rest. The outfit is one of my best pieces.

:goodpost:

That sir, is awesome. :thud:

Do you have photos of your costume?

I knew it! :gah: Corcoran boots probably. :lol

I believe that is the one. One the inside of the boot the markings are gone but I believe that is what I was also issued. I remember thinking to myself in 1995 "these are the same boots Lee wore"!

These are the same as the screen used ones.

I know it must have been tough to go through the unfortunate accident surrounding Brandon but I would love to hear more about the movie from an insider, please feel free to talk more about it if you don't mind.

Awesome stuff man, thanks!

That's awesome! :hi5: Yup, those are the ones. I bought a pair of Corcorans years ago because I thought they looked similar to the Brandon Lee/Crow boots :lol I still wear them sometimes, and the older they get, the better they look :)

Not too much to tell to be honest. I was working on the Los Angeles side of the production, and worked with Dream Quest as a runner during the morphing phase. I was not in NC when lee was shot.

I did meet him on two occasions and got his autograph. He was a super nice guy, very humble, and a great martial artist in his own right.

That's cool, when I was growing up I loved watching Bruce's movies and remembering when he passed so when I heard Brandon was starting a film career I tried to watch all his work and thought The Crow would've been a breakout movie for his career - its a real shame what happened.

Since I started collected HT I've always wanted a Eric Draven figure as depicted by Brandon so this figure is going to be a grail for me.

Thank you sir - awesome stuff.

I did notice that Brandon was so quick in his movements in some of his prior movies that it amazed me.

These are mine (sorry for the bad quality photo). They are not as beat-up and used as those above, but maybe one day they will :lol

No problem! I was and am still a huge Bruce Lee fan! Brandon was great. Kinda crazy that both he and Heath Ledger died playing face painted lunatics, and both roles would have taken each to a whole new level in their careers. Real shame.:cuckoo:

Hope that this is still available a month from now because I've got a few pre-orders to payoff before I can get it. Looks awesome though!

Yep he has come out looking wonderful and I'm glad I had my PO in a while ago but man it feels weird to me seeing a Hot Toys figure getting released way ahead of schedule.

Us 1/6 collectors are a funny lot I reckon. :exactly:

The figure is beautiful, being tempted to order the exclusive from ebay but decided not to, I pre-ordered the regular one and it should do just fine, still, I'm a bit worried about how the japanese store I ordered mine from will handle this change of release date :dunno

Hmmmm, would make it trickier to swap over to a muscle body....., probably leave mine standard - looks great with the coat on which is most likely how I''ll display him anyway.

Is there away to tilt the shoulders down a bit? When he's not wearing the coat, he always looks like he's shrugging. Not sure if that's due to the pose or because the body doesn't have as smooth a transition from the trapezius to the shoulder.

I'm considering buying a separate body that's more muscular. Then, I'll either buy a second set of clothes (so I don't screw anything up taking them off the first figure) and transfer the sculpted forearms OR I'll buy a normal black shirt and have the clean coatless look from right after he put on his makeup. Either way, I'm anxious to see how a thicker body would look. Those typically have better-looking shoulders and the thing is, that spandex shirt he wore was tight. Very tight. It would look perfect on a buffer build. On the current body, there's way too much wiggle room.
