To be honest, I'm not that impressed with the new Hot Toys First Order Squad Leader. The overall style of the figure is OK, but that underlying rubber suit pretty much ruins it for me.

It causes so much restriction to the articulation in both elbows and knees. It's definitely one for musuem poses that's for sure.

I'll probably stick to this pose for a while, since everything else seems to bend and distort the rubber in ways I'm just not comfortable with considering Hot Toys' bad history with cracking and degrading rubber!

When is he shipping to the US? I haven't ordered yet, but if he supposed to arrive prior to Xmas I might get him. Someone said they got a payment notice for 11/24. Is that US or overseas?

I'm not big into action poses so the rubber suit doesn't concern me. Can't wait to get mine!

Hmm, I wonder if the suit can be removed? Long term I hope there is a cloth replacement as an alternative.

The characters themselves in the movies don't even have good articulation lol. They are always very stiff.

I doubt it. It would be pretty risky trying to disassemble the armour.

Maybe just using the stormtrooper under suit, you'd miss out on the ribbed section but it might look fine and the articulation would likely improve.

I'm bit of worried that we didn't see Squad Leader in any teaser. In the newest teaser there is Stormtrooper with black pauldron. BTW the new kind-of-force-spike looks interesting, that should be include in accessories, but i know they did not know about it till now.

Well then they would also need the shield. That was a Riot Control Trooper who carries both a shield and a stun baton. Not a force pike though.

And they had to have known before today. Toys have already came out of this trooper.
