Is there an easy body swap for the hot toys buck? I'm not averse to going at the body with a dremel, but it's always nice to be able to try it out on a "rough draft" buck - and sometimes it works so well the first time, you can save a higher quality hot toys body for something else. I've seen a "generic" narrow shoulder TTM on amazon for cheap...

There's tons of bodies out there for $20 shipped, yeah just grab one and give it a go. This figure probably isn't too bad to remove stuff, I imagine the padded suit will require cutting stitches though.

Not having had a response from DHL over the fraudulent customs charge, I opted to pay it this morning when I saw the parcel had arrived in the UK.

Will continue to chase it up for a refund, but for now I'm just glad I have the Scout.

Such an effective looking figure. He seems to just fall into a natural pose straight out of the box. Even those relaxed hand sculpts appear to have an extra languidity to them.

By contrast the Sideshow is a nightmare to pose. The arms don't want to lay next to the body, the elbows won't bend enough, it's hard to get the rifle held across his body in two hands, his wrist pegs are so loose the gloves keeping sliding off, and even one ankle peg fell out with the boot.

So I had to find something for his awkward looking left arm to do.

"Try mine."

Sounds like a headache. Hope you get that sorted out.

But congrats on getting it. Thanks for the comparison pic; reinforces my decision years back to sell the Sideshow Scouts I had, even if the wait for a HT ROTJ version will be at least a few more years.

If they're anything like Fedex they'll try and charge you to amend the invoice. Fedex tried to charge me £50 to fix a customs invoice once, which was more than the actual customs charge. Never used them since lol.

I kind of see what you guys are talking about now. In the show when they're really hauling ass, they're really hunched down with their head tucked way below their shoulders. Seems impossible to achieve in sixth scale without a specialized neck that basically dislodges the head, though. And I still think it looks pretty great in D.R.37 and Tee-Kay's photos!

Saw a dude on Instagram who pulled it off.

Thanks.

I find the Sideshow to be quite effective, but very limited.

He would benefit greatly from a body swap. I tried and tried to get the rifle into two hands, but the right forearm seemed too short for the stock, and the stock pressing into the crook of his arm was pushing his glove off. :slap

Then there's the problems of the grenade falling off his sagging belt.

One thing that surprised me was that the HT was slightly taller. I imagined the SS was tall like the TIE Pilot and AT-AT Driver, but then he was on that human centipede body.

I never had that from FedEx, but they always used to put up a fight before giving in.

At the moment I can't even get a response from DHL.

:lol

Leia's waiting for her Mr. Toys set. If Kit Chen's correct, she's going to be like that for a long time!

Great side by side. Although the HT Mandalorian Scout is the superior figure, I really love the ROTJ Scout design wise. The HT version of the ROTJ Scout, whenever they get around to making him, will be a thing of beauty.

I look forward to the day when HT finally get round to the Jedi version too.

ROTJ was the only Star Wars film I saw in the cinema, and I think I was the perfect age for it to really get a hold of me, and leave me with a great feeling of nostalgia. Always loved the Biker Scouts.

While the Mandalorian version is a different animal, its very particular character grew on me. The figure really embodies that character, whereas other armoured troopers are quite generic by comparison.

He looks a bit more worried about the Ewok than Leia.
This is day 203 on the forest moon of Endor for Corporal Javik Surl TB-38292. He’s seen the reports of missing patrols. Empty armor; no body, no helmet.

Command denies the rumors. The natives are harmless. Just a bunch of simpleminded beasts with no sentience or organization. They’re of no threat to the might of the Galactic Empire.

But they’ve all heard it. The distant screams through the impossibly tall trees at night. The cries for help mingled with rustling leaves. And the smell. Worst of all, the smell.

Barbecue, with a hint of human.
