Thanks for the comp pics, TonTon...

Sideshow gets the win on detailing here. It's actually one of the more stunning things about the HT/Mando version. They have shown great skill at detailing small weapons and the figure weathering and detailing gets better and more effective with each release (the stunning IG-11 is a prime example of this) so the total lack of weathering "wear and tear" detailing on the "mechanical" parts of the bike is pretty glaring. The gap is also odd.

I'll be picking this up later today so it'll be interesting to see for myself.

Bike still makes for a really impressive display, especially having gone in for most of season 1 Mando (OG Mando, Child, Moff, IG-11, Death Trooper, Nick Nolte, maybe the bull).

For now it gives me pause on the ROTJ bike and makes me happy I held on to my Sideshow bike, but we'll see what the final HT product looks like. The weathered up Mando trooper looks great on the SS bike and now I want to try the Snowtrooper on the Mando bike.

I'm enjoying it very much. I never thought of making a full on project out of it, and I'm satisfied with it. It may be fun to add some personal touches to it.

Snow trooper on the Mando bike? Oooh :)(y) I would like to see that!

Damn you guys !! I was fine passing on this, but the idea of snow trooper next to one....that is cool !!

Right?! I've also seen pics of a Scout Snow Trooper. Presumably some were of a cosplay, and other pics were custom figures, it's a very cool mashup. But, I could see the Mando bike complimenting snow troopers really well. Sorry for the enabling though, lol. 😬

Here's a pic of an official toy release of a (snow) Scout Trooper or Biker Scout and Speeder Bike (Hoth). We've seen this similar concept appear in the form of multiple toy representations though the years.

I remember seeing that toy in the stores...it did look pretty cool.

Well, my set showed up. Quick set-up and shot:

REMNANT SCOUT-TROOPER-012.jpg

Looks real good. I don't know why I'm so surprised how light the bike is...like an old-style model kit, albeit a pre-painted, mostly assembled one. It looks good. There is subtle detailing on the black parts so it is thoroughly detailed. It sits and balances on the stand really well.

I haven't attempted to put the scout on it yet, but at first glance, it's a pretty distinctive set.

This is day 203 on the forest moon of Endor for Corporal Javik Surl TB-38292. He’s seen the reports of missing patrols. Empty armor; no body, no helmet.

Command denies the rumors. The natives are harmless. Just a bunch of simpleminded beasts with no sentience or organization. They’re of no threat to the might of the Galactic Empire.

But they’ve all heard it. The distant screams through the impossibly tall trees at night. The cries for help mingled with rustling leaves. And the smell. Worst of all, the smell.

Barbecue, with a hint of human.
😬 That's some creative and rich mind canon bro, lol. 👍

This also reminds me of Battlefront 2 Ewok Hunt...

"The Empire reels from the humiliating defeat at the Battle of Endor. As night falls, the Imperial survivors are about to learn that their Ewok nightmare has only just begun..."

"As an Ewok, your hunter's instinct and familiarity with the moon will give you an advantage over the Empire. Retake the forest.

"As an Imperial Stormtrooper, your superior gear and numbers should make surviving until the morning's extraction a trivial concern."

I like seeing all the additions to the Scout and bike set, the blasters and such.

It's interesting how we all have an individual approach to our collecting. The modding of weapons, accessories, customizing, and setting up a figure to present a narrative.

It's fascinating how we can build up our collections and displays in a way that can express our unique perception of the story and it's characters. I find this is the most enjoyable part of collecting.

Personally speaking, being able to maintain an imaginative spirit, helps to maintain enjoyment, despite all the ups and downs the SW franchise has endured over the years.

I think, for me, this is what helps make collecting SW satisfying, even though at certain times, the characters may have been portrayed in a way that fans may not embrace.

For instance, the Scout Troopers and other Imperial forces, at times were indulged in on screen buffoonery. This type of character, flip flopping device, for the most part, was never used to portray the Rebel Alliance.

At times, it seemed like a departure from the world building ethos established in the early part of Ep.IV, A New Hope... that the Empire is a ruthless, tyrannical, and murderous dictatorship as demonstrated by the slaughtering of the Jawas, and Luke's aunt and uncle at their home just for starters.

This type of comic departure always stood out as dismissible to a point. That was never my favorite part of the Saga. It is what it is.

SW fandom, or being a fan of something in general can mean you may not like everything, but you can still find a way to enjoy the best aspects of the story, and then we get to embelish it on our own.. that's the funnest part.

After having this set for the past month or so, I feel like I might not even need the ROTJ version. I like it that much, plus you can put IG-11 on it. Only nitpick I have is I wish the Scout was easier to sit on the seat.

Great shots, RTFLYER! Yes, I'm taking my time enjoying this set.

I still haven't attempted to put the scout on the bike yet, but remembering that SSC ROTJ Scout and bike...it took a fair amount of adjusting to get a riding pose that looked good and I expect it will be the same here with the HT. The HT base body does feature better and more stable articulation so there is that going for it at least.

When I first saw this white speeder on the show I wasn't sure what to think. The iconic "Endor" version is show ingrained in the brain for what and how this compact transport has and should look it was jarring to see the change, But like the best of SW, the "change" can make sense for the story. A remnant military that has lost the infrastructure to acquire and maintain it's equipment. Any type of gear will have to be adapted, recycled and reused to suit the needed assignment and situation.

Playing around with this set sparks the imagination to fill in the blanks and that ends up making it really cool and very much Star Wars.

Looking forward to playing around some more and seeing what others come up with.

I got this delivered over the weekend and could not wait to set it up. I still do not have a dedicated display for my recent yet growing collection of SW Hot Toys, as my home office and the rest of the house are still being worked on, but I have this habit of unboxing and then reboxing a short time later to get a feel for the figure and how I want to display it eventually.

I will not be reboxing this set any time soon. Not because it is beautiful, which it is, but I am TERRIFIED of removing the handlebars after assembly. I was already nervous attaching the pistons together, there is no way I am risking a break while trying to detach them.

Decided to get myself another Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper instead of 2xDeathtroopers
The differences in the looks of both bikes and troopers are interesting.
I personally like the helmet of Sideshow one and chest armor of hot toy one
Also did a mod on Grogu
Hope you enjoy my collection, I’m having a blast with these
