I love the head sculpt as you can see it's Chris Hemsworth.
As stated by other posters, the facial would be more cooler if he had an angry or menacing look like Gerald Bulter's 300 HS.

Agree! HT should put some emotion on their HS! Nevertheless, I'm still gonna get this together w/ Cap to build my Marvel Trinity! :wink1:

I hope THOR release around the same month as movie hit the theatre.

I am guessing this is the only version of Thor we will be getting from Hot Toys from this film. Donald Blake isn't terribly interesting looking, and I doubt that Thor will get too battle damaged in the film. If you look at the upcoming Thor Minimates, they don't even have a battle damaged version scheduled, and they make battle damaged versions of everyone they possibly can. Their only alternate version of Thor simply has an angry expression.

Wow. Initially didn't care much about this announcement... it didn't look to be anything special in the "10th Anniversary Exhibition" pictures.
But now this figure is looking very nice. The headsculpt especially. Supposedly not too pricey either? One would guess it's in the same pricerange as Royce and Chris Taylor. An additional angry face would've been nice. Too many HT sculpts have a much too bland, almost stoned like expressions. Some variation would be nice...

Anyways might have to consider picking this up. Regardless of the movie... Thor played a big role in my childhood.

Conflicted about this figure in some ways:
The hair length is really bugging me, yeah, its faithful to the movie but Thor should always have shoulder length locks.
An alternate sculpt with some intensity or anger would benefit this figure greatly. He's the impetuous Norse storm god for fug sakes.
The hammer rocks though. Mjollnir never looked so good. His legs really need to be beefed up, I'm not getting the impression he's a big dude from these picts.
I wish the film makers had gone a different direction with the art direction of this movie and toned down the sci fi vibe and gone a little more LotR.
This figure is going to need some work to make an acceptable Thor for my shelf.

Needs this 2nd sculpt

If you have been collecting Hot Toys, you know it would come out 5 to 6 months after movie releases, but i am hoping they will start changing and come out a month or two after movie release.

Battle rage 2nd head would have been the icing on the cake.

I wish Hot Toys would redo the hair, it sucks, the only thing I cant get past. Just not at all what I think of for Thor but mostly that is the movie selection...

Would hope he ends up on say the wolverine body maybe or something like that. Should fill out the outfit pretty well. The figure as a whole though looks amazing. The cape looks fine too.

If the head had removable "helmet hair" like the Chris Taylor fig, I might be more receptive to this set. I dunno, the stare on this sculpt is like he got hit in the head with his own hammer. :google

Love everything but the head situation, which I'm sure Hot Toys will fix for us.

I wouldn't want to display him without the helm due to that hair and I wouldn't want to display him with the helm because it's a bit large.

So... headless Thor me thinks. :lol
