No way I'm cancelling this one but the lack of shine is definitely a big miss on HT's part.

I'm not sure if it will work but perhaps a thin mist of Pledge floor wax would make it pop? Perhaps I can purchase a loose helmet or armored piece when available loose and experiment.

I think they went a bit overboard with the whole speckling effect.

Next batch is available on Toys Buying Agent for about ?350. Should be in stock within 15 days. Still overpriced but I went for it. It's not a huge amount more than it would cost to get from a UK retailer and saves the three month wait.

It converts to $425 USD after the discount plus whatever shipping costs. You?re right, still high but much better than some of the other retailer?s in stock price.

Disappointing after such a stellar job on IW Bucky arm, which looks liquid metallic. Esp. IMO the finish looked especially rich in Season 1, Episode 1. Like the armor had been shown a whole lotta love and hot wax.

Yeah, next version they'll probably upgrade and charge more. Far as I know the only real fix would be bite the bullet and repaint. Not that I'll cancel tho.

Yeah sorry I was meaning price in sterling. Standard shipping was free. I was willing to pay the extra to get it before Xmas hopefully. No way I'd pay the 500 or whatever they wanted to ship today.

I figured it was sterling for you, sj. I hope he gets to you soon. I think I’ll pay a little extra for faster shipping if I go that route. I’ve got two figures coming from a couple HK retailers right now and I’m biting my nails hoping they show up. I just opted for the slower, free shipping for them. Kinda wish I had fast tracked them now.

Its looks great and they fixed the left leg armour to the proper size by the look of it. I'll be getting this for sure to hold me over for S2 version.

Maybe just wait for a high-resolution review to decide...

King of annoying how they keep making it so dull. It's also not shiny on the 1/4 version. They had it some what closer on the prototype. The production version makes his armor look like some cheap plastic.

Guillaume Hurel did a spot on job with his custom 3d printed and painted version.

Think I'm gonna skip this and hope that they do a better job on the Season 2 version.

Tbh the finish doesn't look too far off from the prototype swoop bike version they're showing.

Not a bad looking release. I do agree with the sentiment that the armor could have had more of a shine to it. Still think I’ll wait and see what the season two figure looks like. Main reason I’d want this is for a figure of The Child, but I’m sure there will be plenty more chances to get him.

This deluxe is a very good representation of the first season -- still some old armor, building his beskar set, The Child, the signature shoulder bell, awarded his jetpack, all his various weapons, the pram and the beskar carrier.

I would hope there's something different that becomes signature for Season 2.

But certainly the best is yet to come.



Having the first armor and the last armor would probably be the best way to go... but then we don't know when "the last" is going to be. This set seems like a good middle of the road set if you are only getting one Mando.
