No its a custom thigh plate and knee pad on the S1 Beskar figure, based on his S2 appearance.

Anyway I supose Hot Toys will release a 1/6 mando with the child of the season 2 isn't it? I like the deluxe edition from the S1 but i think we will have a deluxe edition from the S2... hope I'm not wrong!

S1 pre-beskar Mando (no child)
S1 beskar Mando (no child)
Any Mando version (no child)
Child set with 3 bodies and 3 headsculpts incl. pram. (May cover S1 or S2 alone or both)

I pre-ordered a "Later batch" standard version with TBA and haven't had any response to my 2x ETA queries in the last week. I feel any chances of this getting to me before Christmas are slipping away.
Same with the V1 Mando from PC. Radio silence from them for an ETA. Anyone else had any updates?
First world problems, but this has been a s####y year and was kinda looking forward to these.

Later batch at TBA as well, i'm not expecting anything before january at best... especially since this figure is a best seller.

As a comparison, it took a full month to get a later batch for a much less successful Incinerator trooper and i have yet to hear about my later batch Death Trooper.

Try comparing with delivery times from KG Hobby or local stores. They are definitely slower.

Thanks for the feedback on TBA, everyone. I?m new to purchasing from a HK based seller, so still discovering how these releases work. I was looking forward to a possible pre Christmas delivery, but I have adjusted my expectations.
Now if only PC could give me an ETA on V1.....
Otherwise, not much under the tree for me this year[emoji3525]

Frankly, i don't know if we can draw conclusions on a figure by figure basis. i've been ordering from three different sources in HK (DenDen, KG Hobby and now TBA) and i've had varying luck with delays for all of them.

For example, DenDen managed to ship Cody to me a couple weeks ago when they have yet to ship the Remnant Stormtrooper.

I got DX 18 Maul from KG last week but have yet to hear about Qui-Gon.

TBA Incinerator Trooper "Later batch" was dispatched around 4 weeks later than "Firt Batch" when i'm still waiting for my "Later Batch" Death Trooper.

I believe there's more than one factor explaining delays from one retailer to another. Where those retailers are located (getting their figures from Hot Toys store or delivered from direct from factories), actual toy/collectible store or one man run e-store, how far down they are on Hot Toys customer list, how many PO they took from one figure to another, level of hype a figure generates when released and how much they can bump up the price on their initial allotment...

I have to admit, I've kinda come to like his Beskar look more than the original one lately. Not sure if it's just because I've gotten more used to it or it's had a lot more screen time, but that chrome armor just looks cool as hell and I expect it will make the figure stand out a whole lot better in the collection.

Yeah, I just was thinking the same thing. I'm only up to Chapter 4 but I've come to really like it. I accidentally started a Season 1 episode and thought it was a flashback at first because I was like: what's with the weird armor colors.

Part of me almost has considered cancelling the original armor Mando and just going with the Beskar version. The first figure looks really great though.

That's why they didn't do it and also because they didn't know if he would have the same armour in S2. We are getting a S2 Mando possibly with the speeder.

In figure form the OG smokes this one IMO. If it weren't for the Deluxe accessories I would probably cancel. It's just such a nice big box full of stuff but the figure looks off to me - not quite "man in suit" like the first one. It has thus far failed to trick me into doing a double take.

Yeah. Plus I don’t think I’m going to get this first Beskar version. So it’ll be a while before I have a Mando in my collection. Waiting on the season two Mando reveal.

The pram and two Grogu figures are cool. As are the Beskar pieces with the carrying case. It’s a nice set and part of me feels like I’ll regret not getting it. I’m holding off though. Unless there isn’t a season two release, but I doubt that since it was already teased and Hot Toys is milking this show.

This deluxe may be comparable to the GOTG v2 Star-Lord -- both figures come with literally everything.

The next version -- v3 for both Mando and Star-Lord -- is/will be lacking in accessories and gear.

If it is then maybe I’ll consider picking this one up. Either way I at least am waiting before committing.

All I know, from HT's track record, there will never be a definitive Mando.

Next Mando will be barebones and this will go up in value. But, next Mando will be more accurate so swapping pieces and buying parts will make the definitive Mando between this and S2 release.
