This is apparently chrome plated rather than chrome painted as Phasma was. No idea how the plating will hold up versus chrome paint.
If they can churn out 2 shiny Bucky arms that at least in my case got plenty of handling with no damage, then they can put out shiny Beskar that holds up. Hopefully the days of the flaky Captain America shield are long gone.

As far as who actually ends up with the Darksaber in story?
With the Season 3 quest for Mandalor (to free or rule it?), I'm not really caught up with the cartoon cannon, I know there is a Sabine character who has a claim to it, and even more factions out there, now including the Armorer's clan, so there will likely be a fight.

I don't see Mando seeking to claim the throne, maybe helping free/unite his people seems more his drive, but not to claim power. That is not him.

The only reason he ended up with the Darksaber was to save the Yoby, he had no interest in power, or what the saber symbolized or represented.
And even tried to willingly surrender it to Bo.

He might inadvertently lead people into action for a greater good, but that's a different kind of power. I think he walks from the throne, and leaves the rule to Bo or that Sabine character from the cartoons, or to any others in the mythology, and lets them have at it.

Clinging to the Darksaber (and everything it "offers" ) might ultimately bring death, and Mando will likely see it's time to let it go!
Bo is going to be in a rough spot, if she can't....

Something else other than a symbol, or a dogmatic "way" is going to have to unite them, or they will destroy each-other.
Mando likely helps them see (or remember) that, then leaves their fate to them.

Final trope is I imagine - (Yojimbo/Fist Full/Red Harvest)- he walks off into the sunset to continue his wandering - cue his badass theme music.

Now that Mando Luke has been revealed, although Luke would have wrecked him, I do wish they'd scripted one scene where for an instant these^ two sabers would have clashed.
Maybe right before Luke lowered his hood, Mando still not sure if he might be someone else after Grogu.

Your idea gave me another idea - What if that were to happen and Luke uses the Force to pull the Darksaber from Mando's grasp, technically beating him in combat and thus now the owner of the Darksaber... Bo Katan immediately gives up her plans to lead Mando-land... :monkey3

:lol Don't know about all that, changes way to much of their plans for the saber going forward LOL! They got a whole mythology and narrative built, that needs to go back to, and play out on Mandalor.
That said, you know Disney Theme Parks is busy right now trademarking and copyrighting Mando-land! :lol

Re: slightly different take in hindsight:

“You expect me to search the galaxy for the home of this creature and deliver it to a race of enemy sorcerers?”

“This is the Way.”

I'd have pictured when Mando says- Open the doors, and the others are like - Are you crazy!? Indicating there is obviously still some trepidation about who exactly just arrived.
Mando holding the Darksaber looks back at a Bo who gives him the - yes it's yours (for now), it's your funeral nod.
As he rushes out sparking up the Darksaber.
Luke easily blocks and counters his moves, just enough for one instant we get the glorious eye-candy of the the two great sabers the green and darksaber clash against each-other. As well the Beskar armor at work, for what it was designed for (a grim brief reminder these are two scions of a peoples once at war, a war that had nothing to do with either of them).
As Grogu emerges through the door, they catch each-other fighting, aware the greater purpose.
Luke is first in good faith to switch off his blade leaving himself vulnerable, removing his hood.
Djarin instantly sees Grogu trusts him, and switches off his saber too.
Recognizing this is the Jedi Grogu reached out to, Mando's quest is complete ...leading to his own helmet removal, and final farewell to Grogu.
As happy R2 roles in :wink1: Just a slightly different take.

Re: posting the figure scene here too, since chrome Mando is in it too, and some seem to like the phaux composite image, hopefully how they'll end up on the shelf-

Thought I replied ^, yeah they do look great together, yet really shows you need the unhelmeted Djarin for the scene. So glad they made him.

On the other hand, care to pose the hooded Luke(with saber) and helmeted Mando(with spear (unless you have a Darksaber too) fighting!
With little anxious Grogu standing between them, seeing his two guardians clash!
Played right, I think that would have made a great tension filled scene, before they realized what they were doing.

Also (should ask in the Mando Luke thread) curious does the new Luke have a wire cape?
